Originalmiscellany's MF dreams

Another month, a little bit saved, a few hundred which is great although not the level I am used to sadly. However, summer time, bad weather and a few trips and plans to do for the next few weeks. Loving the BBC commentary and pics which is making wet days exciting...
Anyway, my targets outside of work involve planning what I am going to do over the next few years in terms of work, life balance etc.
All great imponderables but great to think about.Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045
Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 20370 -
So, another day, getting to half way through the holidays now, sad times!
Am thinking of 2 things - house hunting - nothing definite but we have areas and ideas in our head, but need to look into time frames etc.
Am also going to stop going to the gym and potentially invest in a rowing machine - I quite fancy a really smart one so am working it out in my head if it adds up financially...Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

Rowing machine arriving in a few days time. Great!
Had a really busy few days, bought a ton of "stuff" for the house, furniture, sofa bed, bed etc. Of course it's been researched, shopped around etc, and will be on interest free credit for 3 years I think - which means that we put aside a small amount per month...
It's odd as I'm a right tight person and so MOM was quite taken aback by my sudden generosity in buying stuff, and lots of stuff in one go!
It'll be a complete change of the internal house but it's really exciting as the wood is lovely.Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

However it means that we won't save much this month (deposits for furniture etc) but that'll be fine.
We are also getting someone to look at central heating, a cooker etc. It's just funny how everything has come together at the same time. So it's the case of bread sandwiches and meat surprise soup (where the surprise is that there's no meat!) to economiseFeb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

Feeling much fitter, have done a good hour most days, burning through the miles, whilst watching films I've meant to watch. Had a compliment from a family member saying I'm thinner in the face than a few weeks ago. Must be doing well! I've worked out (online calorie counter actually) that in an hour, I burn 1200 calories (pushing myself hard) which in turn means I am very hungry but eating what I like, (within reason) knowing that I will burn it off! Also the good wife has commented that I'm trimming down too, although I think the weight is staying the same, as muscle is heavier than fat.
This month's been a shock, we've had a house upgrade, which for the first time in ages, we've had a serious deficit in outgoings and income, however I know it's for the best, stuff we have is pretty tatty and we've saved for these occasions, as it's stuff we'll use all the time, and when we move the house will look much better and hopefully sellable.
So we will check our finances again next week and check everything is on its cheapest- thinking BT Vision might get the chop to be honest.Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

So exercise regime going well, although no weight lost but more muscle and less excess definitely visible = happy me!
Half way through "House overhaul" and things looking good, have to shell out for more stuff this week, although trying to time payments with payday next week, which I should be able to do which will free up some more money without having to draw on all my savings.
Anyway, only one more day of the weekend to go, very sad.
Off to get cracking with my work, and spend time with the family.Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

Am taking this rowing seriously, clocked up over 330km in the first month (just under) and am feeling great... The target is Dec 31 2012 to be considerably more healthy than I was last month, and am making great strides already. By the end of October, the plan is to row the equivalent of the English channel and do a marathon distance (42,000 km I believe) over Christmas break. If I meet that I'll be well on my way.Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

And, I've done my money saving today, walked out of 2 stores as they didn't lower the cost and then got it cheaper online and haggled for free delivery. Every little countsFeb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
