Congratulations agmoore, unfortunately your big day plans have been messed about a bit by a bunch of cowboys.
Anyway tell your Mrs to be, if she wants to spend that sort of money on a band, maybe next time consider Take That.0 -
Great news agmoore, good luck on your big day, I hope everything else goes swimmingly for the big day and for the future.0

A twist on things...
OP's OH wants to book the band. They exchange emails and agree on a date and venue. OP's OH hasn't yet sent the deposit, and someone else comes along in the meantime, armed with the deposit there and then, and books the same date.
The band would take the 2nd booking wouldn't they as they're the ones with the hard cash to SECURE THE BOOKING. The band would tell the OP 'we're sorry, you didn't pay the deposit, so your date wasn't secured'.
So, if the band think they are right in all they have threatened the OP and their OH with, and the above did happpen, then surely the OP and their OH could have taken the band to court??
Have you had a look at the terms and conditions? They have everything on their side. They don't guarantee band members for your event - so theoretically you could book the people you'd seen on Youtube (because they looked good and you liked them and they'd got good reviews) and have a totally different set of people turn up!!!:eek:0 -
What loss?? The booking wasn't even secured as no deposit was paid!
:wall::wall::wall:
Keep up. We've had this debate.
The deposit was "due" on booking. That has a legal meaning.
Anyway, it's all sorted. And I'm very pleased that OP can get on with the important stuff now - like arranging a wedding.0 -
They are claiming they are available on 28 Dec 2010.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Can anyone recommend a good band for my proposed wedding? Sorry to go off-topic."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Yes - you're right and the availability checker has gone back to the way it was!!!
I expect Danny realised that ultimately the change would've impacted upon his profit! :rotfl:0 -
Do you think that the people who booked the 9 piece band have read some of the comments on here and cancelled?
Wonder if they paid a deposit!0
