Make a short call for a minute or less and check your allowance/bill and then you will know. You always get different answers from CS people.kailos wrote:I call up orange customer services this week and was told the 07744 nos would not come out of my inclusive minutes (canary 30). They are renowned for this sort of misinformation. At the present time calls to 07744 numbers are included in Orange Contract inclusive x-net minutes.0 -
Hope I'm on the right thread.
I need to cut down my TMobile monthly bills drastically!
Partner lives in the Caribbean) and although I am using phone cards every week (at least 3) @ £5 each (suppose to get 150 mins, but usually get around £100 if I'm lucky) my bills are sometimes in the region of £175 per month. Yes, I know, I'm a fool.........
When using cards I use the 020 8 access number, so I use this on my free minutes time which is free calls to 020 7 & 8 numbers, national calls and other TM users after 7pm to 7am and all weekend.
Is there any way I can get free international calls when using my free minutes.
I'm trying to sort out my debts at present, so its either the bills cuts down, or the boyfriend goes!..............

I have an O2 1000 off peak min tariff for my wife to call Antigua and Jamaica using 0844 operators. The contract was free by cashback and I made 70 quid selling the handset so that gives her 16+ hours a month at a net cost of minus 70 quid for the year - off peak only however and I know O2 have increased the cost of this tariff to 25pm so not sure if 12 month 100% cashbacks are still available.I think....0 -

Hi. Anyone know the cheapest way of calling from UK mobile to a Spanish mobile?
Also, on a recent visit to Spain I noticed that my UK mobile was diverted to Orange who appear to have taken over one of the Spanish network providers. Anyone know what effect, if any, this would have on cost of calling from UK orange network?0 -

It depends which network you are on here, and contract or pay-as-you-go
From Orange, T-mobile and Virgin contracts, if your minutes include calls to other UK networks, you can use 07744 callthrough numbers from PlanetTalkFree or Yourcallworld. Dial the access number, then the destination, but don't press Send after the second number as this will make another call at the international rate; to avoid this it helps to store both numbers in your phonebook with a pause character ...
From O2 contract, you can use an 0870 access from PlanetTalkFree during the daytime
Otherwise, you might use calling cards or an account from such as 18185. It might be useful to combine both 18185 and the 0870 number ...
See the MSE Callchecker for more ideas, but note that the rates for 0844 and 0871 calls apply only to calls from landlines, and 0871 is 35p/min from some mobiles, but cheaper on 3.
As for foreign networks with the same name, this has no effect0 -
Thanks for the info Redux. A lot to think about. Sorry for delay in picking up your reply.
I have found that when using override numbers, if I try to enter my destination number before their pre recorded message re call charges is finished, I end up in a loop and have to start the call again. I will try your tip on storing both numbers with a pause.0 -
hi,just recieved a reply from virgin mobile regarding 07744 numbers.
they say in there email reply, that these numbers are not included in my
x network bundle, but are in fact according to virgin, national toll rate numbers charged at 15p to 35p a minute.
has anyone tried dialling from a virgin mobile?
