Sorry I have just come across this thread but wanted to say I and many other know how you are feeling right now. My Mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in the January and passed away in April, she was aged 69. Boy oh boy what a shock it was, but I know shes now free from pain and thats what makes it easier for me to deal with.
Time is a great healer, things will get easier but take things slowly, grieve at your own speed and if you ever feel like you need to speak about it theres always someone around who will just listen, someone who knows exactly where you are coming from.
