And me
Its interesting to hear how others got on
I too made panzanella tonight.
I found a part baked french stick in the freezer and used that, since I hadn't gotten round to baking any bread yet
I weighed the french stick after cooking, and it was 148g... by my reckoning a quarter of the recipe should have been 375g of bread, but I knew there would be no way I could have eaten that amount, therefore I used the 148g french stick
I found it incredibly filling, even although, I did not use all the bread I should have.
I found the quarter tin of tomatoes, not enough, as the bread was a little too dry for me, so I used the whole tin.
I did add basil.
I loved the flavour of the combined ingredients, and would definately make this again
I had originally thought that I would have a side salad with this, but I think the other half can of tomatoes I used, negated this thought.
I like the croutonish idea of the stale bread, and will try this next time I make it.
8 out of 10 from me.
I am not really sure what every one is having tomorrow
I was going to follow the list, and go for the bean curry...
But if everyone is having something else, I will follow suit
I will check back to see what everyone is having0 -
Hey guys ive had a look over the DB and i cant see any reason for the problem. I re ran the macro and generated a HTML table with the lunch keyword (ive saved this in "cheap family recipies" as lunch_table_for_weezl... I guess you know where to go from there)
I tested the table and it does have the red lentil pate in there so I imagine its some random thing that hopefully wont trouble us again!0 -
I cant see what everyone is having tomorrow
So, I think I will have the bean curry tomorrow:D....
I will cook a full recipe of this, and freeze three portions.
And the shepherdess pie on Thursday, again, a full recipe...
I think I will try two of portions on the biddies, and freeze one
I will have the sweetcorn fritters either Sat or Sun, they are easy enough to take to work
I will have one of the more complicated meals on Friday, when I am off, either calzone, or tomatoe and olive pudding.....
I will wait to see what everyone else is doing, as I may reshuffle
I wish I could attend the meet
I do hope you all have fun

We're off-plan tonight, Potty - Chinese grillsteaks we got on "buy one get two free" on our last visit to Morrisons (with the £5 off £40 shop voucher from The Sun). It's gonna feel weird, having something different to everyone else
Okay, so for next week, shall we say nut roast on Monday, pea risotto Tuesday, bean curry Thursday ? Or if the second half of the week works better for anyone, co-ordinate with Avocet and have same meals, but from Wednesday on ?
Who's in ?0 -
I'm in. I will do:
~ pea risotto on Wednesday (as close as I can get to your Tuesday session)
~ bean curry on Thursday (at the same time as you)
~ nut roast on FridayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
hello all
well what a lot of responses. I'm just pondering what kind of feedback warrants a change to a recipe.
I have been mentally going with 2 testers giving sub 5 for kitty (4 and below)
or sub 6 for shirley (5 and below)
but the panzanella does score so highly with others (arty and my DH both give it a 9) that it would be a shame to lose it.

It has been suggested that it'd be sensible to buy the tickets for the exhibition in advance (don't think we have done it yet though), so bear that in mind,
It doesn't suggest any discount for booking in advance...
