avocet I introduced some <br> tags into the planners page to try to solve that problem in omniweb.

I can't install it, so I wondered if you would mind having a look and letting me know if it's resolved?

    All sorted. Well done!

avocet are you using an operating system called symbian?- edit nope that's daft it's for handhelds, ignore me!
No, just Mac OS X (Leopard). I think Symbian is an OS for mobile phones, and I'm afraid my mobile phone technology is akin to two tin cans and a shoe lace :-)

    Why do you ask?

Edit: Oops -- just saw that it's put your edit into the quote, which I didn't see till I had posted, but which renders my reply redundant. Sorry!

I had a look at google analytics to see how many omniweb users we'd had (ie were many folk affected by the difficulties you encountered) weirdly it doesn't get called that to google analytics which seems to know it by a different name! So I looked at all the macintosh visits and also tried to narrow down by operating system.

It makes me sound like I have scary stalkerish abilities but google analytics is a very crude tool for telling me about you all. :rotfl:

Ah, I see. Either Google aren't up to speed with Mac browsers (Omniweb is by no means an uncommon choice) or I've disguised myself as something else. Some sites insist that you access them only with particular browsers, and I vaguely remember spoofing mine -- although I can't for the life of me remember how, or even where to find out what I've spoofed it to.

I don't usually rate things on a numerical scale but it'd probably need to be a six. A five would be neutral i.e. don't actively like but don't actively dislike and anything below five would be dislike. My system when trying a new recipe is just to ask OH if he would have it again.

A-ha ! See, that's what I used to do - and what I still do at the first point of impact (when a new dish hits the table with a splash... quite literally sometimes, what with my level of dexterity). First time ever I asked the other half to score a dish was in order to complete a survey of Potty's... And was then mightily worried for a while cos I just could not seem to find a 10/10 for !!!!!!, even with what I believed were his favourites (my usual chilli con carne with fluffy rice eventually hit the spot).

So, it turns out that the way we operate is as follows: first question is, would you eat it again ? If the answer is yes, then we score it 1 to 10. This means that even a 1 out of 10 would warrant an inclusion on the menu, especially if the money was really tight, but not too often, please ! ;) So if I had a lot of stale bread to use up at some point in the future, and not much else in, I'd happily do panzanella again, and I don't think !!!!!! would go on strike as a result - I would probably lob in some chilli and something a bit meaty, like a chopped-up cooked sausage or something.

Therefore, Weezl, may I suggest that in future you just ignore any scores from us you see as really low ? Cos we don't seem to work them like normal folk do ! ;)

Oh, and I might be off-plan tonight, but I was certainly on-plan during the day, and here's proof - Kitty's pasta salad:

    4882783304_e3e51ab395_m.jpg

Which I'm afraid I found a bit on the bland side :o Certainly filling enough, which is good (this is a quarter portion pictured), and I like the kick of the balsamic - but next time I'm making it the way I'd normally make it (plus the balsamic, I'm keeping that) - which means stealing a little bit of onion from somewhere else, and using the oil to saute the onion and the peas, then finishing it off with some chopped chilli.

    5/10.....

Is anyone else trying any of the breakfast or lunch dishes ? You may, you know - Kitty's not just for dinnertime, Kitty's for life....

right ho allegra, I'll just ignore you and !!!!!! :D

it occurs to me that the same ingredients for panzanella would make a tomato topped pizzaish base with onion and basil, which wouldn't be a bad alternative if kitty et al weren't panzanella fans?

To be honest I don't really think kitty's too fussed on stuff scoring highly out of 10, I think that's more of an issue for bob and shirl.

Kitty's non-negotiable would be different if she had to LOVE her dinner evry night I feel?

Would anyone like/benefit from anymore info about the skypemeet?

    Love weezl x

'llegs, I think the veg soup could probably cope with donating some of it's onion.

How much would the pasta salad need?

We're off-plan tonight, Potty - Chinese grillsteaks we got on "buy one get two free" on our last visit to Morrisons (with the £5 off £40 shop voucher from The Sun). It's gonna feel weird, having something different to everyone else :D

Okay, so for next week, shall we say nut roast on Monday, pea risotto Tuesday, bean curry Thursday ? Or if the second half of the week works better for anyone, co-ordinate with Avocet and have same meals, but from Wednesday on ?

    Who's in ? :)

    Well
I am, sort of.... in my own little way I think :D
But this is only due to my shifts over the weekend... I kinda need to live out of the freezer then...
So, for me, I think I will go with this order, for the rest of this week...
    Wednesday - bean curry
    Thursday - calzone
    Friday - shepherdess pie
    Saturday - sweetcorn fritters.
Sunday, will be something from the freezer... so I will decide then :D

I will sort out what I am having next week, next week :D

    :rotfl::rotfl:

I have had porridge a couple of days this week... but made the way I normally make it :)
I haven't gotten round to any of the lunch's yet, as I havent made any of the pates/spreads yet :o... and I have only just noticed that it was pasta salad for lunch today  ... I may have that later in the week :D

I am not sure I will be around much for the skype meet...
I have a bean curry to cook :D

1 small onion (50-60g) between the 4 people would do it, methinks :)
