If your OH is a plumber, would he make more money doing domestic plumbing work? I thought that plumbers could earn quite a lot (although I'm probably just bitter and twisted after paying astronomical bills in the past ....)

I'm a Registered Nurse + Midwife.Qualified 25 yrs. Work 32 hrs pw take home £1285 (don't work weekends).
3 yrs to get RGN then 18mths RM. Now wrecked...lol

hi not realy he needs acops to make money on gas serivers ect and he dosnt have it and to get is 4 hundred pounds and at least three weeks of work which would be unpaid to take the course

I am a software test analyst and I take home about 1350 a month, which is quite low for the job.. Must start sending my CV off to other places!!!

Not sure about qualifications you need for the job, you just have to be nosey and like breaking stuff!!!!

I work from home inputting data into a retail companies website. I only take home £663 per month and I have 2 children to look after!!! I'm qualified for much more (I have a degree and 7 A levels) but I'm sacrificing what I could have to be with my children. I don't have a OH.

I do Market Research for an American auction solution provider (?!?!). I have just changed from doing Customer Service for them and have had to cut my hours so now earn around £1800 (varies), instead of £2500 Luckily it is flexible working times, and I get to work from home. And I'm a full time mum!

My OH is an apprentice joiner and earns £150 a week.

Sounds posh I know but its hard work and long hours!

My pay is less than your OH's, however in the catering field (which mine is classed as) the wages are low until you start working your way up to Catering Managers etc.. That's where the big money in in my profession. Takes years of experience to get there though!
