    to do list -

put purse and jewellry on ebay
    put clothes away

work (shant break that down as it will be far too overwhelming :( 0

Oh forgot to tell you guys that I bag that I listed made £32 on ebay so that takes my claw back total to £283.50. So hopefully I will make at least 10% of my claw back 3K challenge in the first month.

As much as I am annoyed at being treated like a 50's housewife and having my cards confiscated I must admit it seems to be doing the job and our bank balance is already looking healthier :)

Well you know the easiest way to get your kids attention is to sit on the sofa with a book or the phone - works every time :(

Yep as soon as I get dex settled for his nap and sit down to get stuck into some work they start pestering and arguing grrrr.

Took my ebay bits to post office to post and I'd massively undercharged on one item - charged £5 and it was £10 for the cheapest postage so gutted about that. But £5 was the most eBay would let me charge  all in all I probably broke even on my postage so ebay wasn't a great success really. Still have made nearly hundred pounds so far a d have got a couple of other bits to list - amy lulu guineas purse and some. Tiffany jewellery. Also got to have a good sort through the kids toys and see if there's anything worth sticking on. am hoopeful of making another hundred (:

Planning a cheap day at the free beach tomo - and an afternoon working :/ as am out all day Friday. Looking forward to the Friday night takeaway so hoping to keep money left in the budget for that. I think that's definitely one thing that I'll find difficult to give up. And OH is on his last can of beer tonight so I think he might have a an issue with that lol. Am also going to be distraught when the new autumn/winter clothes come out on the high street :(. What are other peoples weak spots?

My weak spots are things for the house. For 3 years I lived in a house I hated (well not the house so much but the area, it was awful) so as soon as I moved there I was making plans to move out :o. I didn't buy anything for the house because it seemed a waste of money but as soon as we moved here, I put in a new kitchen, bought loads of well just 'bits' really. I am a typical cancerian - homeloving. Now to feed my habit I go to bootfairs - I love buying crockery and have got some really unusual pieces for next to nothing.

You can still indulge your weak spots you just need to think outside the box and find another way of doing it (and the thrill of the purchase is twice as nice when it's only cost a couple of quid although I don't think you'll pick up much designer stuff at bootfairs....)

Well am going to check out ebay for toys and clothes in future as they dont seem to be selling for much so may as well play that to my advantage as well as to my detriment.
Am going to check out ebay for xmas gifts for people - especially the kids - as it saves on all the getting them out of the boxes and packaging that is such a pain on xmas morning anyway :)

took the boys down to the free beach today - took a picnic and a flask and all was well. until the heavens opened. We got soaked to the skin and went into the cafe to dry off and wait for the rain to stop. £10 later :(

Am really struggling with not being 'generous' anymore. For example today in the cafe with friend and when I go up and buy my own I would normally offer. But that would often double my expenditure and when its on a regular basis as well it adds up pretty quickly. but i did feel very mean particularly when she used her credit card to pay for a cup of tea :/

Anyways, we're home, showered and dried off now. Unfortunately I have to go out to the docs shortly but really cant be bothered. then its beans on toast for tea tonight. need to save the pennies for a takeaway tomo lol ;)

ps poles - yes i am also capable of spending a fair bit on the house too. although we are hoping to move in the next few years so that reins me in a bit as i think this is out 'put on' house. plus, like with most things, ive pretty much bought it all already lol.

I love this attitude. Much better than cutting things out because we can't afford it.

You sound a lot like me. I tend to pay for other people a lot even though I can't afford it either.

Sounds like your children are having a great summer.
