Oooh just remembered I used to get the pull-up nappies. They're not as pretty as Pampers but they are about £2 a packet cheaper and just as good IMO.It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

Evening all! There is an aldi but its not local. I could get oh to take me on a weekend and see what's what. Thanks for the recommendations. I just don't want to waste money trying stuff and not liking it.
Had a very long lie in this morning - OH just left me and I slept till miday! Then I had a good tidy, put a load more on ebay then took the boys geocaching, we had fun but didn't find the treasure lol!
Have a friend and her little boy coming so going to try again tomorrow.
Made the lamb shank and going to save the left over for tomorrow. Also made the crumble with the boys. Nice and stuffed now.
Oh returned my cards today. But we've worked out a system so that if we,re spending more than the weekly budget we,ll let each other know and keep a running track of it. That suits me as I don't want to get into the same situation again. Going to get the boys uniform tomorrow.
So the house is in order, moneys in order, the kids are in some sort of order but this week I really really need to get some work done. Deadlines are looming and it makes me feel very stressed when it's hanging over me. The older boys are going to grandmas on weds for the night and then to the seaside with my dad until Saturday so that will give me some time. My best mate is also on her hols so that's less pressure to socialize as well lol. It's brilliant working for myself but it's been a nightmare this school . Every time I sit down to try and get something done there.s a little person pestering for something or two little people arguing in the background or the wii or tv blaring out. I just really cant get in work mode when I have them at home.
Hope everyone has enjoyed their long weekends

Evening all!
Very pleasant if not very productive day. My friend came for the day with her little boy and we went out for breakfast, then tried geocaching again ( again unsuccessfully!), back to ors for a cuppa and then over the field to play cricket. Then the boys had their swimming lessons.
Was lovely to catch up with my friend but didn't get much done. Am babysitting for another friend tomorrow while she goes for a job interview so wont get much done then either. Sigh.
Fell off the wagon a tiny bit today. But still it could have been worse! Went to sainsburys to get th e boys uniforms but they didn't have any in the right sizes as per grrr. Instead I bought the lo a set of t shirts, a lunchbox with drink bottle ( the plan is for taking food when out and about to save money ) and the boys drinks bottles for school. Spent £20 but it could esily have been double. Saw a top for my middle one, and a duvet set, and cushions. I could have emptied my purse! I didn't but am going to have to give the shops a wide berth for the rest of the week!
Ps made a lamb curry with the left over and it was divine. Nicer than yesterdays meal. Just added beans, more tomatoes and chilli to the casserole and served with rice

Morning lovely ladies

Cinema last night (Orange Weds lol) - went to see Girl who played with Fire but wouldnt recommend it if you're interested. There were lots of people out to see Pirhana 3D - eek not my cup of tea!
Me and OH had a bit of a tiff as I wanted to go for food but he said if it cant come out of the weekly budget then forget it! I only had £20 in my purse so that put paid to that.
Am abit annoyed that a buyer on ebay have given neutral feedback for no apparent reason. The comment is that we are 'great seller. highly recommended'. I've messaged them and theyve said that they will change it if I sort it out. How am I sposed to sort it out?I'm assuming they have to do it themselves? Annoyed as have 100% positive so far grrrr.
Have lots on ebay this week but lots of it has no watchers so far. Hoping things will pick up! Though there are some decent items with watchers such as some bike accessories never used and still boxed with price tags on for £40 etc. Fingers crossed.
I only have lo till Sat so hoping to get some work done today and tomorrow. I hope the boys have a nice time at Skegness with my dad but I always worry about them when theyre not here
thyeve done nothing but drive me mad all hols and theyve only been gone one night and I'm missing them. It doesnt feel right when their room is empty. Just spent £25 on uniform at Asda which i dont think was too bad. Got a free delivery code too

Well did the cupboard check and there's enough to only have to buy basics again this week.

Any ideas on what to do with fish? Ive got one of those fish in bag things (in butter and lemon) but never do it cos don't know what to do with it, it's just languishing in the freezer.
Actually managed to have a sensible conversation with oh about money today. No arguing

Roasted veggies and couscous or rice? If couscous, make a lemon-olive oil dressing with a bit of garlic to toss through once soaked.
Or there's always new potatoes and peas, which I actually like but DH complains about!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016

"Earn more spend less" is going to be the new motto in our household soon, we are moving to a new home and have baby no.3 arriving on December 29th, so this little cat will be budgeting for the first time in a long time."Put the kettle on Turkish, lets have a nice cup of tea.....no sugars for me.....I'm sweet enough"0
