    Hi Roxie

Just stumbled across your diary so wanted to say Good Luck!

    >>runs off to subscribe>> ;)

You'll bust that debt in no time - you sound really committed to it.

Would your OH be up for doing a joint thing with you? So you account for your money and he accounts for his and you compare/show each other at the end of the day/week.

One thing I tried was sticking my receipts to the fridge and kept reminding OH to do the same. Then at the end of the month we saw all those little extra things we picked up on the way home from work, which weren't accounted for in the weekly grocery shop.

    xx

Ok so this is why i hate ebay. Jut sold loads of designer clothes for 99p a throw  someone out there has got some right bargains. made £16 on a load of ted baker items - most hardly worn. TBH id have rather given them away to someone I know.

On the upside the wii board sold for £45. So that's £61 made in one day. Just such a shame about the clothes - I was hoping for more.

That gets me too! I prefer to give things to charity shops when I know I will get hardly anything for them. Guess something is better than nothing but generally just a waste of time after all the charges/fees:mad: I was planning on putting my old gucci sunglasses on there but looked at the completed listings and only generally sell for £10/£20.

I sell loads of make up (even half used!) and that generally sells pretty well. Esp. good when it's testers/samples I get for free;)

Hi la and thanks for the tip about the cosmetics - I have loads so I might have a root through and see if there's anything I can put up.

Rubber thanks for being impressed lol. To be honest I write across the board - I just seem to have gotten lucky with the playwriting and had a bit of success. But I like to turn my hand to all kinds - scriptwriting, stories, journalism - I enjoy it all. I'm just working very very hard at the minute - probably harder then I never have as I want to be able to do it as a 'proper' job. Every spare minute I am writing. It hard at the mo as I have the boys off and they seem to know how to guilt trip me asking me why I always working. I'm not always working at all and spend a lot of time taking them out but they need to sometimes occupy themselves and know that when mummies working then they should nt be nagging, pestering, arguing etc etc. The other alternative, and one that will have to happen if I cant make this work is going down the regular job and nursery/ childminder route and we've been there before when the boys were younger and it wasn't great for me or them. So I'm doing my best to make it so that I can be a mum and also contribute to the family coffer and feel that I'm doing something for myself as well as for the kids. Fingers crossed I can pull it off. Only time will tell I guess.

Well ive spent quite a lot today - twenty pounds on taking the boys to the cinema and eating there and ten pounds on a takeaway for us now. The reason for this is not being organized and going shopping so we've nothing easy in for me to cook! gonna go tomo night and do a big shop and put in some really cheap meals to compensate.

Are everyones children exhausting or is it just mine?

Spent a bit too much today - £20. Although we have been out all day. Took the boys to a holiday club this morning which cost £1 each and was absolutely fantastic for the money. Then we had a picnic in the park which meant a stop at gregs for sausage rolls and cake. Then we spent a couple of hours in the park before going to wilkinsons to get buckets and spades to take down to the man-made beach (£2.50 x 3 right there) and gave into pester power and bought a bubble gun and a bat and ball set. But am hoping that they count as investments as they will enable us to have some free days on the field by our house.

I was going to take them to the playcentre today which would have cost £30 so we've not done too bad i spose.
Absolutely shattered though. Got a chicken in the oven, ironing to do and then off to do a weekly shop tonight so gotta do a menu plan for that.

The writing sounds fabulous Roxie, glad you're using the ipad.

I'm avoiding ebay selling but I hear brands like NEXT and Monsoon sell well on ebay. People don't pay for actual designer brands on ebay much because people are afraid that it's fake or even assuming it's fake hence the low prices.

Hi mags :) well I had some next items brand new with the tags still on and they didn't even sell!

Just did the weekly shop at mr t's and , drum roll, £75! So not bad. Going have to watch the pennies for the rest of the week though.

Still off the alcohol which is really weird. Am missing chilling with a glass of wine at the end of the day but I just cant face it. Food is also making me feel I'll at the mo which is strange as Im usually a massive foodie. Am hoping I get back to mormal pretty swiftly although it is probably better on my wallet and my waistline lol.

    evening all!

bit less spent today - £10. And we were literally out of the house 9 - 6.30.

bargain holiday club this morn followed by picnic in park, followed by circus skills workshop, followed by swimming. I have no idea how my children have energy left at the end of the day but they always do. Me on the other hand. The activity club and the circus workshop were fab as they were free/low cost and the kids also got snacks and drinks so got away with the picnic and a bowl of cereal for supper. beans on toast or supernoodles for me and dale tonight :)

just doing half days out tomo and thurs. holiday club again tomo morn and then the free beach on thurs morn. want to get back for dex to have a nap so i can crack on with some bits. just gave our bedroom and the boys a quick whizz over so theyre half done. found a lulu guiness purse in the process which i have never used and am nver likely to use so going to go check out ebay and see how much they go for. been abit slow on the save £10 a day challenge recently.

    hows everyone else??

Every little helps! I think you're doing really well.

I've got to tackle my ironing soon :( but not until I've caught up with the diaries ;)
