Hi mags I think before I didn't really appreciate the value of money and would spend willy Billy. In fact I'd go as far as to say that I enjoyed spending - it didn't even really matter what. And I got a real buzz out of being generous, OTT birthday/Xmas/housewarming/new baby gifts. Basically any excuse to shop and give. Sometimes to people who vie never even had so much as a birthday card from. And when meeting friends for coffee/ lunch/ drinks I'd be over generous. Most of my friends would return the favourite but there's one friend in particular who has seemed to take advantage. Well, she did- these no seemed about it. She's actually been quite manipulative in the past. But things are going to change.
Just had my best cheap dinner, pasta with a tin of tomatoes and cheese. Yum.
Have got £23 left in my purse and am visiting a friend tomo so that will be £10 in bus fairs. Not sure they're be money left in the coffers for a Friday night takeaway

I can't really afford takeaways very much but as Friday is last working day of the week and also the day I do my food shop I always buy a 'bung in the oven' supermarket curry. It's my Friday night treat :beer:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey

Happy Weekend all!
Well in true Friday the 13th style yesterday I got caught in the rain, hubby was in a foul mood and I slipped on my friends laminate and smashed my leg up. It is a right mess! BUT I still had a smile on my face as my play got reviewed in the Scotsman. It has positive and negative but I'll take it! It's still my first ever review in a big newspaper! And I think it's probably 70% positive and I figure they've got to out some negative in there. It's not hailing me as the next Arthur miller but it's not slating me either so I'm very very very happy!
Bus fair and takeaway costs yesterday £8 bus fair and then £12 takeaway.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Oops so that's not great as if it wasn't for the rollover from last week I would have gone £5 over budget.
Actually no £10 over budget as I bought some beers from the coop. Double oops. Must be more careful this week. Where have I overspent though? The only thing I can think is Monday when I bought a picnic from the bakery and then spent £10 in walks on buckets/spades etc? Any ideas on where I could cut down more but still keep the boys occupied? The shopping budget as been cut right down I think and we've had no expensive days out. Was hoping to at least have a couple of theme parky type days out this holiday. I think this is going to be harder then I thought

Oh no, how bad is the leg? Plaster cast and visit to hospital bad?
So happy for you about the good review. As a writer you most likely read reviews an awful lot more than me but I do know that some of them are awful so 70% good is fantastic. You should cut it out and put it in a frame over your desk.:T:TMSE round of applause for the play:T:TTotal debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
To be honest mags I don't really read reviews. If something is up my street then I prefer to make my own mind up. I ink reading a review can really colour hour opinion of something. But I love the idea of cutting it out and framing it! Mind u, my desk is in the living room so it may look a tad egotistical when people come round!
No my leg isn't that bad thank god. Just very badly bruised and swollen, I managed to catch myself in more than one place as well - one being my right buttock so it hurts to sit too lol.
Just been and done the telco shop and it came to £80! am really happy with that as the fridge seems far fuller than last week. Although I had no cleaning products/loo roll/nappies/ toiletries to buy. There's plenty for meals and picnics through the week and also I have about 3 'spare meals'. I had the idea of maybe buying one or two spare meals per week then the final week of the month use them up thus having to do only a minimal shop one week of the month. That spare money could then go to a day out or something? For example, the last weekend of this month we had planned to camp which will cost £50. By doing this maybe that will have that covered and we won't have to raid the coffers for it? Or maybe it's a sneaky way of having some shoe money lol
Done absolutely nothing today apart from shop, clear up and chill - which feels a little strange as am used to being on the go all weekend, every weekend. But it actually feels quite nice and I will have got far more done is weekend than last.

Don't forget to look for vouchers for theme parks - this can be quite a huge saving. There's usually 'one adult goes free with another paying adult' type things on t'internet that you can just print off. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey
