MSE News: Tesco re-launches double-up Clubcard promotion

Just had a thought. Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but did you know that expired Tesco clubcard vouchers can be sent to customer services and the points will be re-credited and you will get the vouchers on the next mailing. I have done this several times and actually sent £30 worth back recently. Unfortunately I won't get the new vouchers until November so too late for the double up promotion. You do need to send them back within 6 months of the expiry date as they don't keep records for longer than that. However I did find some that were a year out of date which I had mislaid and they gave me the points back so it is worth asking.0

I am starting to feel paranoid...still do not have my vouchers, and I am expecting a bumper crop this time around!0

I haven't got mine yet either EllaKat but reading that some others just got them today means we shouldn't panic just yet, I think it says on the till receipts they will arrive by 18th August so got a few more days.
Lets hope there's still some goodies left for us when they do come!0 -

Why risk the vagaries of the post, call - it's a freephone no. Very surprised about the last sentence, usually a no, no. Also please don't risk the '6 months of the expiry date' - some people may be more strict than others - e.g. if its expired, that's it. Moreover, while you can still convert back to points the vouchers sent May '08 (expire May '10), it is too late for the Feb ones - the last day was 25/07/10 !originalkat wrote: »Just had a thought. Just had to mention that they're £80 off at my local Sainsbury's - retailing at £130ish (or was it £140ish) - that was the cylinder typePOPPYOSCAR wrote: »I am thinking about getting one as well.
Can you tell me which one you got and are you happy with it?
Thanks0 -
When I sent the one year out of date vouchers back to customer services I received a very nice letter explaining the '6 month rule' but also saying that on this occasion only they would credit me with those out of date by a year. I am therefore confident about the 6 months but it is also worth a try if they expired earlier. You have nothing to lose and a very polite request may work. If not, c'est la vie!0

My garage is piled high with tins of dog food and sacks of biscuits. Probably have enough to keep the little fella eating for another 18 months.
Doubling-up might not be the very best way to spend vouchers but when Motorpoint suddenly withdrew from the clubcard scheme, i'd saved up almost enough to buy a car, and since then they've been sat in a drawer, their expiry dates getting ever closer.0 -
Found this a bit complicated but did get a Panasonic shaver for under £6 cheaper than I would have got it new from ebay, including topcashback.
Felt it was a tiny bit of a headache, making sure I'd read all the conditions correctly and having to go in to get codes for an online order.
One thing almost tripped me up - you can only use the £10 vouchers if you spend £10 or more - the shaver was just under £50 so my fifth £10 voucher wouldn't go. So I ended up buying something else small to make up the difference.0
