Does this mean I can exchange my clubcard vouchers in store for double their value and use them online at Tesco Direct to buy toys. I have my eye on a few things for xmas.0
-
is there any online links to show what we can/cant buy with double up?
thanks,0 -
What can I use the Rewards tokens on?
They can be used to buy items in store or online in the following ranges: toys; clothing; flowers, plants and gardening; house, home and DIY; pet food and accessories; baby and toddler; phones and accessories; and opticians (in store only).I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
"The choice for the millions of Clubcard holders is quite simple. First check the Tesco Clubcard rewards brochure where you can trade in a £5 voucher for rewards with a £20 list price. If there’s anything there you want, go for it.
"If not, and you're planning to buy something at Tesco that is part of the new exchange programme, do that ASAP."
Nooooooooo.......... Martin is completely ignoring that a lot of the Reward options are completely overpriced with 'Deals' so that you are not getting four times the face value!
Everyone knows that holidays are completely overpriced but I was looking at the below for £240 in Deals
http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=1407&bci=4294966207|Activity%20Days*4294966498|South%20of%20England*4294966017|Flying
However directly this only costs only £119 in cash.

Anyone who can use the double ups pofitably (ie has a baby), wouldn't always find Martin's 'Use Deals first' to be very moneysaving!! (when you take into account the efforts of ordering the tokens and having to then post them to the suppleir within a short time window)0 -

I have some sympathy with your view. This quote was written late on a Sunday night and in my head by saying list price I had indicated that wasn't the real price. Reading back this morning I realised that didn't spell it out at all.
I have amended that quote to say,
"The choice for the millions of Clubcard holders is quite simple. First check the Tesco Clubcard rewards brochure where you can trade in a £5 voucher for rewards with a £20 list price - if there’s anything there you want. If there is dou, double check its actual cost to buy to see if it’s worth it – and if it is go for it."Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Thanks Martin,
Thanks for pointing it out though, rather going for some overpriced deals (as I would normally), I'm trying to work out where on earth I can store a bumper supply of nappies, baby food etc. :-)0 -

Yes, they normally go out Feb., May, Aug., and Nov. The August ones start going out Aug 2nd (I see Claire1234 has her hers). If you don't get them by the end of August - call clubcard - to arrange a reissue.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
