Tesco clubcard vouchers worth double...

I have had a nightmare trying to order a roof box for the car. Was told by head office it would be included as it is in the DIY & car section, phoned to double check again before actually exchanging the vouchers and was again told it would be fine. Of course when I got home and tried to order it was not included. Due to a very helpful member of staff in store I eventually got it sorted out and they honoured the order as they had given me bad advice twice.
I would definitely check and re-check that the item you want is included in the promo before you exchange your vouchers. Not sure who you can check with though as the leaflet is very ambiguous and the staff in both the store and at Direct head office don't seem to know either! Good luck!0 -

I exchanged £45 today and bought a mobile costing £89.97, but the till would not accept £90 of vouchers! Sorry Sir, you'll have to pay the £9.97! Arghh. Now that is ridiculous.... I have emailed Clubcard customer services to see what they have to say. Can I convert the £10 voucher 1) back into a £5 clubcard voucher and use it for 4x on a clubcard deal or 2) change the goods type specified on the voucher?
Own goal Tesco, I shopped at Sainsbury's I was so cross!0 -

No, its not just you.
I found it confusing at first but then realised that you have to go into the store to get the voucher to spend online.Stupid if you ask me.This is just a ploy to get you into the store where you will probably do a bit of shopping while you are there, they could just as easily have allowed you to double up on line IMHO.
What worries me is that by the time you have been to the store to get the voucher to spend on line the item you want might have gone out of stock. My OH suggested taking the laptop with me and checking at the store!!! Good mind to do it.
If your Tesco is one with the Direct Pick Up Point then they will do the online purchase for you there and then. I did this myself today as I didn't want to get the vouchers home then find the items were out of stock. (They were already sale items so I ended up with £200 worth of goods for £50 in vouchers.)0 -
I changed £5 today into £10 and for that I managed to get ds 4 t shirts and 10 pair of postman pat pants as when I got to the till the pants were reduced to £1 and one of the t shirts was reduced to £2, the lady at the till said that some stuff had been reduced more but just hadn't been marked down yet.x0
