:eek::eek: This sounds like typical tesco bull**** ! I have the promotional leaflet from the store in front of me and nowhere does it say that the vouchers have to be new ones. If its true, then Tesco have probably shot themselves in the foot yet again.

I exchanged a mixture of old ones today instore no probs, all with different clubcard numbers on them which i didn't have the clubcard to match but she combined the lot and they were all from way last year...... whoever told you that was talking rubbish
  • decided to check availability of item before i cashed in my vouchers, to be told that furniture was not included in the homewear deal , so my advice to people to avoid dissapointment is check you can exchange vouchers before you cash them in ;)

I received my vouchers yesterday along with the leaflet explaining "The Big Clubcard Voucher Exchange" - there is a Questions and Answers page on the back and it says "You can use your Clubcard vouchers from a previous statement as long as their dates are still valid. There is no limit to the amount you can exchange."

I would try again if I was you - the member of staff was obviously unclear on the rules.

I exchanged vouchers which were due to expire early next year without any problems, I'd try again and if still refused then contact head office.

I wanted to use a voucher worth £28.50, so £57 in deals, and split it between toys and homeware. I was told that you are not allowed to do this and you must spend it in one department and you have to spend either the actual amount on the voucher or over it. You cannot use your exchanged vouchers for something worth a little less.

    DUMB QUESTION ALERT!

My mum has a voucher for £14.50, she normally just spends it in store, but i have told her that i will give her the cash if she converts it for toys vouchers.

So does it work like normal deals where if i have £10.50 voucher and exhange it for a deal that costs £10, the 50p gets credited back to my account.

As the info suggests you can only exhange in £5 multiples.

So would this be a waste of £4.50 as she'd only be able to convert £10 with the other 4.50 going back onto her clubcard account.

Or will it be a case of she'll get a voucher for £29.00 to spend on toys????

    ETA I found the answer:
For every £5 worth of Clubcard vouchers exchanged you will receive a £10 rewards token.
You can make your £5 up from a £5 Clubcard voucher or smaller amounts that add up to £5 e.g. 2 x £2 vouchers and 1 x £1. Or you can use a higher value voucher and any change will be credited back to your Clubcard account in points and carried over to your next statement.

So not really worth it then :(
