You have to specify the department you want to use them in when you convert your vouchers. So you can ask for £10 in clothing and £10 in toys for example but you can't then ask for £20 in clothing and use £10 of it on toys.

I'm going for the simple option I think and looking at getting new glasses :D

I thought that you could do this but when I tried yesterday I was told by the SA that you could only select one department. I had a voucher worth £50 and wanted to split it into £30 home and £20 toys but she said that I couldn't do this.
  • i tried to use my vouchers to buy some furniture only to be told by sales assistant that this wasnt included in the deal, decided to phone tesco head office to clarify this , they said this wasnt the case and i could order the draws , so if your unsure best to phone head office , dont forget to get their name incase you have any problems in store.hope this helps others:j:j

I don't think you could split a £10 voucher for £5 Clothing & £5 Toys, after the first transaction it would put the 'change' back to your clubcard a/c. You would need 2 x £5 vouchers.

I had £45 in clubcard vouchers, am trying to get sorted to get my own place so I swapped them for £90 household to be used online and got the following:

    Ken Hom Wok
    Tesco HG36 Health Grill
    Tesco SC356 Slow Cooker
    Tesco JK27 Kettle
Tesco Summer Spot Work Surface protector and tin bundle
    Poppy 12 pce dinner set
    Tefal Specifics 26cm Frying Pan
Tefal Specifics Pro Expert Omelette pan
Tesco Cook It 3 Peice stainless steel pan set

Used another £3.50 clubcard voucher I had and paid £4 so I'm quite happy because otherwise I would have just used my clubcard vouchers on magazine subscriptions and would have still needed to buy the above. x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

taken from the tesco facebook group.

The Big Clubcard Voucher Exchange commented on their Note "The Big Clubcard Exchange FAQ's":

"Hi XXXXXX, you can exchange any amount of vouchers - just as long as they are in multiples of £5. For instance if you wanted to change £20 of Clubcard vouchers into £40 of exchange tokens and you had a £12.50 voucher and £7.50 voucher then this would be fine. You can also change your vouchers into tokens for different departments if you want (say £20 Clothing Online and £20 Toys instore)."
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!

Thanks for that. I tried to look on the website last night but couldn't find any info. I'm going back into store to change them and to let the lady know who told me I couldn't do that, that she was mistaken.

I emailed tesco and I have just had a call from them.

I spoke to a lovely guy and he agreed that it is confusing and not really clear what is included. He is going to suggest to Tesco that they put something on the website to show exactly what you can double on and what you can't.

I was told that the jewellery on the clothing site is included but not the jewellery on tesco Direct.

I pointed out to him that the only exclusion showing under gardening was camping and that it is not even under the garden section and he could not understand that either. He couldn't really say if sheds were included or not.
