You have to spend the whole £10/£20/£30 token (and pay the extra).

If what you want is less than £10/£20/£30 you need to find something else in the same category to take the total over the voucher(s) amount.

The 'after the discount' bit is if you buy something on offer, the final price has to be over £10. So £5 each but 2 for £8 you need to find something else for £2+ to be able to use the voucher.

Does it have to be an Extra store or will a normal Tesco be able to exchange for me?

The goods I wanted were OOS but they are back in now, so I have to be quick!! We only have Express shops near us.

they have asked for mine on the 2 occasions that exchanged vouchers... so yes i think do, but just explain your situation, if you not got one, you cant give it...

I may call them first as its a 20 mile round trip!! I dont suppose anyone has used more than 1 account.
