I've seen people take ages in the garage and then saunter back to their car and sit and fiddle about with stuff in the glovebox, the radio etc. taking maybe another 2 mins before moving off. Some people obviously have too much time on their hands if they can afford to spend so much of it at a filling station!0

Yeah it is. It was just a small bit of paint that come off so just a quick job. I just got to wait until I hear back from him to settle the bill. I will certainly learn by this though.[/QUOTE]

Got a text from the Gentleman and the cost including VAT will be £152. I'm well happy. I was worried it was going to cost too much for me to pay myself and i'd have to go through my Insurance but i'm so relieved.
Good result Kimberley, well done.
Glad to see there's still some honourable folk left, both the chap and yourself.0 -
It wasn't done in a garage I found out today when I went to pay the bill. It was done by a mechanic friend of his at his home. The work was for a C/S/F reshape and repaint O/S/F whatever that means. Forgot to add that the mechanic is a mobile repair specialist who does the job at your own home. Thats what is on the recipe anyway so i'm happy it's all over with now.0

I had to have the front and rear bumper replaced on my car, I got the bumpers from eBay which was for two new ones which were 80% cheaper than else where, even second hand.
A respray for the whole car will not be needed OP.
If the claimant rings around he will get a good deal with a good firm.
I rang around for a respray on the two bumpers, to prime, paint and finish was £100 for both all in!!0 -
It has all been sorted, do try to keep up...:D0
