Evening all, just popping my head in to say hi! No UU to report yet (no new buys either... yay!)

I am looking to pick your collective brains though - I'm currently using a Liz Earle C&P which is on it's last legs, and I love it - it's made such a difference to my skin! However, on the MSE front, I have other cleansers to use before purchasing new ones... mainly thinking about 2 v large Clinique cleansers I have... Do you think I could use these other cleansers with the hot muslin cloth as per C&P, or should it really be something like LE that was designed for this that would work best? Anyone out there experimented? (If not, I shall report back shortly!)

Am tempted to 'invest' in a new LE, but am trying to hold out! (alternatively, anyone found any cheaper but similar products to LE?)

    Thanks guys!!
    Cherry xxxx

I think it would be absolutely fine to use your other cleansers with the LE muslins. After I stopped using C&P I carried on with the muslins for years afterwards with whatever cleanser I was using. I can vouch for A'kin Rose & Geranium Creamy Cleanser as being similar in that it has a lovely thick texture, and cheaper in that you get 225ml for about £12 versus LE's 100ml for about £12. :)

I went shopping into Manchester yesterday and was very good. Went into Boots and only bought my lunch. The only toiletries I bought were from bodycare and that purchase was two cans of Soft and Gentle deodorant for my daughter who had run out. Was really impressed - got a duo pack 150ml each for £1.89 when the single 150ml costs £1.50. :money:

My Avon order arrived last night but I can say that it contained essentials/replacements that I don't already have :-

cuticle balm (am coming to the end of my Crabtree and Evelyn one which costs £7.00 - the Avon one was on offer when I bought it for £3.00 :money:). I'll admit that I do have a bottle of OPI Avoplex oil but this is no good for on the go. The Avon one will go in my handbag.

the new mascara that they launched which states it coats your lashes 360degrees. This sounds to me like their version of Clinique Lash Power which I love. If it doesn't disappoint this will be a huge saving as the Clinique one costs £12.50 and this one cost me £5.00 (although was on offer). I only ordered the brown one as this is the one that I need to replace as I have a spare black one in my stockpile. :money:
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

UU last night- Dove Visible Results Body Lotion sample. WIBA? Well I didn't buy it this time, it was the freebie from a few weeks ago but NO, it has a very strong smell and not a pleasant one at that. The texture was nice but I wouldn't say the results are "visible". Quite glad its finished tbh. Back to my huge unscented Vaseline one from USA then I can start my BS butters:j:j:j

hi all, i lost this thread, heaven only now's how.
I've a couple of UU - boring razor blade, one of the 100 or so OH has bought over the past 18months and hated. I hate the as well but being MSE won't throw the away without using each one at least once.
UU - Superdrug hair colour - rich chestnut. It's not bad and was on two for a fiver so i would definitely buy these again. It covered my 'few' grey's so can't be upset with it.

You could put a few drops in your bath, or onto a burner?

Also, if you're interested in eco-friendly laundry, you could add some to the conditioner drawer when using Soapnuts, as they're unscented. http://www.inasoapnutshell.com/

You can order a free sample from that website.

Another UU for me a spa body lotion from superdrug WIBIA? No did not find it any good for my dry skin. It was part of a set that was reduced when i bought it and buying things just because they were a bargain.

I agree with Jacks - I use the muslin cloths with other cream cleansers and they work fine - I have used them with Estee Lauder, Elemis and Gatineau cleansers and they work really well. Other people on the thread have also raved about the Soap & Glory hot cloth cleanser - I haven't tried that one but plan to get some when all my other cleansers have been used up (that will be the next millenium then - LOL) as it is cheaper than LE C&P - although I do love the LE one.
