Hello everyone - you are all doing so well. I am a bit late joining this month as I have been on holiday and didn't have time to post before going as had so much to do to get organised.
I am still managing to use more than I add which is a good thing - I must confess that I fell off the wagon and did the Laura Geller TSV - have been reading the posts that I have missed so it was comforting to know I am not the only one who fell for this one....As someone mentioned, the blushes are fantastic. Also arrived back from hols to find that a L'Occitane TSV ordered on autodelivery had arrived which I had totally forgotten about. That adds 10 to my stash but managed to use up quite a few sample sizes on holiday so I will have used more this month than I added:
UUs for Aug so far - have put in bold the ones I would buy again (although have absolutely no need to at the moment until my stash runs out):
Molton Brown warming eucalyptus shower gel
Elemis pro collagen marine cream
Laura Geller balance-n-brighten (fair)
Smashbox browtech
Molton Brown amber cocoon handwash
Clinique sugarbean lipstick
Liz Earle orange flower shower gel (100ml & 30ml)
Crabtree & Evelyn aloe vera soap
Liz Earle nourishing botanical body cream
Estee Lauder sensuous perfume (GWP size)
Trevor Sorbie mousse
Should also use up a few more things by the end of the month so my stash is going slowly. I promise to do better in September. Since joining the thread I have been much better than I was so that is a good thing.:T
Keep using up and keep away from the shops...0 -
Some more U/Us
Batiste original - WIBA? I think everyone knows how much I love batisteI'm onto my one last can  I buy them in bodycare. They've got them for £1 a can - you can't buy a mini for that in boots/tesco/insert dangerzone here!
Arran Aromatics Hand Soother - WIBA? Well I would, but I've had them for four years and was a bit fed up by the endBefore starting this challenge, I was never as good with creams as I should've been. I'd still keep buying them though :rotfl:It was bought in desperation when we went to Arran and it turned out to be fab - so, surprise surprise, I went back to the factory to buy more before coming home
- it's amazingly moisturising, so I would recommend it to anyone in need of a good, intensive hand cream!
One I forgot the other night:
Nivea Night Renewal Body Cream - WIBA? As said before (a few dozen times :rotfl:), yes. For the price of this cream you couldn't really go wrong! Managed to pick it up for 95p and got a 'few' :A
I'm now onto my 'best' creams - the ones I've actually bought myself, so lots of S&G, FCUK and body shop butters for me now :j You should also see the rate of use ups slowing down as I try to spread them out as much as possible :rotfl::o:p My absolute favourite is the cherry one, but there's no way I'd pay £12.50 for one _pale_brighthair wrote: »a health spa that was closing down0 -
hi all,
not been around most of the year but still going strong with using up the stash. can't wait till 22nd december to write my new stash list (as xmas pressies will ruin the use-up outcome).
I have only bought (IIRC) 2 bubble baths - becuase i LOVED them!! a new shampoo (we had run out) and the normal toothpaste/ deodrant (becuase we had run out).
I am so glad i found this thread in January has saved me a fortune - even if i am not reading it all the time the challange still runs strong in my mind.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
mineallmine wrote: »Thanks Jacks. :A I did pop to doc and he said it's from sweating (I perspire don't you know!) and didn't really recommend anything. I think I will start talking baths again (instead of showers) with a drop of dettol in them plus use the Nivea soft. I said I've neglected myself a bit so my body is saying there, told you so
Sweating?! How very dare he?! We glow doncha know! Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
:hello: evening ladies,
3 more UU's to declare
elnett hairspray - wiba- definitely, this is my favourite hairspray, just need to finish a few cans of other stuff before I can repurchase
montjeunesse passion peel face mask - wiba - yes, this made my skin feel really smooth, totally loved it
radox smoothie shower gel, the mini from the magazine, wiba - probably, this had a very nice coconut smell and was very pleasant to use, not sure about the flakey bits though
Going to do some pampering now before oh arrives (well shave my legs at least!)
enjoy the rest of your evening:wave:0 -
Another UU for me : a 75ml tube of Daisy body lotion WIBA? Yes as I still have the fragrance to layer it with. Still have some shower gel left as well so will have to match this with something else. Maybe with a TBS Shea Body Butter as this doesn't really have a fragrance does it? Am going away in october so may have a look in Duty Free for the Daisy one.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I've used up a jar of Boots Deep Moisturising Foot Cream with mint, lavender and marshmallow. WIBA? Yes, I love this, it has a nice summery fragrance, is easy to apply, feels refreshing on the feet in the summer and does a good job of moisturising. I was using this daily but then put it on one side when I decided to target using up my Burts Bees cream. I have another one in my stash but will move on to a small tube of Boots Primrose foot cream next for a change. When I do buy it again though I'll make sure I get it when footcare stuff is on BOGOHP offer.0

one UU - a trial size dove extra conditioning body lotion. WIBA?? no. dont like it at all - it kinda makes a layer on my skin, doesnt go in and just leaves me smelling funny and all slimey.
oh - and one thing to note ladies - if any of you have clean and clear mornign fresh face wash (with moisurising balls!!) - DO NOT use it up as a bath foam - although it bubbles really well, the moisturising/exfoliating balls are quite uncomfortable to sit on.... still, its nearly gone !!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Evening all, just popping my head in to say hi! No UU to report yet (no new buys either... yay!)
I am looking to pick your collective brains though - I'm currently using a Liz Earle C&P which is on it's last legs, and I love it - it's made such a difference to my skin! However, on the MSE front, I have other cleansers to use before purchasing new ones... mainly thinking about 2 v large Clinique cleansers I have... Do you think I could use these other cleansers with the hot muslin cloth as per C&P, or should it really be something like LE that was designed for this that would work best? Anyone out there experimented? (If not, I shall report back shortly!)
Am tempted to 'invest' in a new LE, but am trying to hold out! (alternatively, anyone found any cheaper but similar products to LE?)
Thanks guys!!
Cherry xxxxDebt free as of 2010 :j - now to stay that way!
No buying toiletries challenge - joined Aug, have been good so far... :A0 -
Got some more free samples today, about 5 different Dermalogica ones. I went for a facial and it was lovely0
