2 UU to report- NSpa SuperFruits Ruby Orange & Mango Butter shower sorbet. WIBA? Yes if I didn't have a million others to use up first:o

and NSpa Vanilla Creme Brulee bath gel in my granddaughter's bath tonight. Smells almost butterscotchy, very sweet and a bit sickly so no I probably wouldn't BIA. Was very bubbly though:D

Oh Peedie - have a mahoosive HUG !!! Its horrible when the lightbulb sparks, and putting it in a list really gives you a kick up the bum doesnt it?? Just keep thinking how much money you are saving by not needing to buy for a while though, and are there any things that you can give people for presents or ebay???

Ive had a couple of UUs - my body shop strawberry shower gel (been using it as bubble bath) - WIBA? possibly if it was on offer, but not other than that, i like the smell but it doenst last.
sachet of shower gel (again, put in as bubble bath) sanex i think it was.... WIBA?? no. does the job, but im not a fan.

almost finished the mix of s&g body butters that were in my hatbox, though Ive discovered a sanctury one in the stash, so ive got to wait even longer before I can get some lotions !!!
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup

Two more UUs for me this week:-

Elemis Cellular Bliss capsules. WIBA? No although technically I didn't buy these as I got them in a swap on makeupalley.com. I used them years ago and they were ok then but my skin has got drier and I find that the capsules don't seem to hold enough oil for me.

Aussie shampoo WIBA? Yes and already have as it's nearly always on offer. My HG shampoo.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Last night I uu Simple Eye Make-Up Remover Pads. WIBA? Yes, only if on offer though as they aren't cheap but they are effective. I've got face wipes and other eye make-up remover to use up first anyway.

Peedie, sorry that you've got glum about your stash. On the positive side, you should feel proud of how extremely well you've done since December :). The best lessons learned are always learned the hard way. Don't save any of your best stuff for 'best', use and enjoy without feeling guilty.

I've actually put my face on for the first time in I don't know how long today! Had an eek moment when I looked in my make up bag as I've hundreds of lip glosses (none of them bought by me though!). Have one in my pocket to keep using through the day. Hope to report some used up soon :)

Finished a mini lip gloss and a bottle of Elvive conditioner. Bought a stila lip gloss though. And have a £5 No 7 voucher acquired by a non-toiletry spend, so will probably use that!

    Hiya
Sorry I have given up trying to post the list of my stash, it went on for 4 sides of A4, I would type it up then throw it out as I pressed submit reply:(
If I'm honest when I was compiling the list on Sunday once I got to the end I just cried and cried. All I kept thinking of was the amount of money I have spent over the years most of it on my credit cards that I've not ever been able to clear at the end of the month, so the stash as it is has cost me more in the end than I ever thought I was saving with BOGOFs and TSV's etc.
On Monday I photo copied the list so I can carry it round with me so there's no way I can think that I am running out. I was getting board of my Elemis cleanser and kept thinking that I wanted to try something else and did start to look. BUT I have 6 LE C&P plus 3 Decleor ones:o

All this and I still have not bought ANYtoiletries since 10 Dec last year other than cotton wool pads and deodorant and I've given loads away too

Without joining the challenge in Jan I hate to think what a state I would be in. So thanks to every one of you:A
I have been a bit lax the last month or so, not pampering as I might....so this weekend will be treat time...

Sorry this post is getting a bit maudlin. Just thinking again of all the money involved.

    Any howUUthis month
Elimis Cellutox Active Body Concentrate WIBTA No didnt notice any difference at all.
Elimis Exotic Island Body Balm WIBTA No Didnt like the smell, was not sure if it was off or not. When I was in London a while ago I had a sniff of this and it smelt the same as mine....Not nice.
Elimis Monoi Moisture Melt WIBTA once again No. Didnt like the smell and it was just such a faff to melt it to use it. Though it was good at moisturising the ends of my hair.
Elimis Tan Accelerator WIBTA No as we had the sun earlier in the year and since I started to use it the sun has gone away somewhat so its difficult to test if it works IUSWIM.
Sorry for the long post. Least it hasn't lost it yet:T

Right off to make dinner and a pamper after
    Take care
    Peedie

 Peedie, I felt absolutely horrible when I did my list. Sick and ashamed and worried and horrified all at once.

But that feeling is good for us. When we get the urge to stock up we can just recall it for a second as a deterrent!

Besides my lovely, you are doing so well! :T SO-O-O-O-O much better than I am. :o

So no beating yourself up! Focus on this lot my lovely:
    1. All the extra money you have now because you don't have to buy anything!
    2. How well you've done on this challenge since you joined in January.
    3. How much you've learned about your spending habits, and how it's helping you make changes.

I also find it easier not to think about the 5 shower gels I have in The Stash, but just to really focus on the one I have out - what it smells like, what it feels like, what I like about it and what I don't. It helps me when I come to write WIBAs and helps me decide for sure whether I should ever buy it again.

I think it also helps me appreciate it more. Cos let's face it we're lucky we have money to spend on smellies and make up aren't we?

If you really can't face working through multiples of the same thing then perhaps you could eBay some of them? QVC brands do pretty well on there.

Chin up chick - as we say on the DFW board: Things may not be perfect right now, but at least they're headed in the right direction. :j

  • Went to Boots yesterday and got some Toni and Guy volumising shampoo and conditioner and Mousse (3 for a tenner) got my No7 £5 voucher so then went to the No7 counter and spent £25 BUT with the voucher and I had a gift card with £15 on it I only paid a fiver! And I only got things that I will use, hot cloth cleanser, the oil shower foam and a new eyeliner.

A couple of UU's BS banana shampoo and conditioner WIBA, probably not I think I got these in a nostalgic moment when they were bogof. Smells nice whilst washing but didnt notice it afterwards.

Burts Bees handsalve, WIBA - not really it makes a good night hand cream, but for day its like vaseline so to greasy.
