    Hi everyone
brighthair - where did you get all your freebies?

Peedie - its easy to get upset when you look at your stash in terms of money, if i added up all of mine then there would probably be a holiday - at least a minibreak! but since joining this challenge my spending has greatly reduced and i am using up stuff.

UU sanctuary face mask - this only cost 50p in boots clearance counter, always like these products
have had a clear out of things well passed their date, so stash is reducing - still have a bit of a body lotion mountain to get through and must make an effort to use up my gradual tanner products.

couple of things in the spluterring stage but despite a big effort they keep on going...
trying hard to be debt free by the end of 2010

forgive me ladies for I have been truely wicked:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
here it comes spent £68 at clarins:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:.In my defense I was a/ depressed by the bra issue,b/it was bonus time and c/ I had some vouchers.

I know I did not need the body lotion the girl recomended as it was a large one for the price of a small and if I bought it I got 2 gifts instead of 1.ended up with eye gel, cleanser wash, body lotion plus freebies of shower gel and (I think) body lotion plus bag of 4 goodies.
so very sorry I will repeat 100 lines I must not buy anymore toiletries in august....pity I had been so good in July:rotfl:

Eek, now I know there's an offer on. But I do need cleanser. But not sure if my skin now prefers Darphin (pricey I know). Eeeek!

Not been posting much as been busy. Been busy not buying stuff so that's good. I've been a bit lazy with my products so need a kick up the bum to use stuff.

Not a use up but more of a report:
    - Bio oil - think this has made a difference to a scar. I've not used it as regularly as should but so far so good.

    And a request for help:
    - does anyone else here suffer with a dry or bumpy/spotty back? I never used to but I have a small patch that just won't clear up. I don't seem to be finding a product that helps. Body butter doesn't work nor bio oil. Any recommendations please? I once read that taking cod liver oil can help for some reason. All help warmly welcomed! :A
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

  • Peedie, try not to despair, you have come a long way and should be feeling proud that you have managed this far without spending, I really admire your strength. I've only been doing this challenge for a few weeks and I've already fallen off the wagon. But I know with the help and support of this challenge I will learn to change my ways. If it wasn't for people like you and all the other folks on this challenge I would never been inspired to even try - so a big thank you for helping me reach my lbm, xx

I have a couple of UU's to report:
clarins toning body balm - wiba - no, did nothing for me
nivea goodbye cellulite - wiba - no, like the clarins did nothing - still have legs like porridge.
Still, 2 down, only 24 more body lotions/creams to go!

Not so much a use-up, this one, more of a give-up:rotfl:

Asda Skinsystem Face Scrub- I've tried to get on with it but just can't. After using it my face seems to have a kind of film on it and feels horrible. Its not very scrubby either, much prefer St Ives which I have in a travel size, so will use that up then might try the bicarb idea. But I'm afraid this Asda carp is going in the bin. It was only £1-£2 so don't feel too bad about it. I can't even remember why I bought it now as I'm usually loyal to St Ives as I know it doesn't upset my rosacea .

    Some U/Us

Pearl Drops Tooth Polish - WIBA? This was a favourite for years, until I discovered dentinox - which I found for 1/4 of the price! I'd definitely buy it if I couldn't find the dentinox.
Asda shaving gel - the one in the blue tin - WIBA? No, don't usually buy it, but it came free with my mum's delivery so I got it! I just use whatever comes to hand first, whether it be conditioner or showergel.
FCUK pure showergel - WIBA? It smells gorgeous, so don't see why not!
Vosene - WIBA? YES! Nothing else needs to be said :D
Venus breeze blade - WIBA? No, don't think they're worth the money and I don't think the extra gel makes any difference. Love the normal blades though!
Rimmel eyebrow pencil x2 - had been using them down to the quick. Had to sharpen with a knife at the end :rotfl: WIBA? Yes! My life saver :A

    Some Outgoings -
    Elle Mcpherson roll on thingy
S&G Fab Pore - I wouldn't buy either again, but am glad they went to good homes! :)

    Incoming
Rimmel eyebrows pencil x 3. They were on 3 for 2 and I desperately needed them!

I've been so bad recently with keeping up :o I'm just going off to read the rest of the thread....

Aha a pot of Nivea soft to the rescue - this seems to be helping my back. Hurrah.

Went into temptation island (boots) and didn't get anything. I now have a really strong tally in my mind of what I've got at home now. There were loads on offers but none of which I needed. The nail polishes were calling but they were all the weird colours that I know I will love this year but will be cluttering up some shelf next year. So they ain't coming in.

 Hello my lovely, I've just been through a thing with my lips where I tried everything and spent a fortune when what I should have done was was go to the doctor. (I also went totally healthy and vegan for 6 weeks in case it was something I was eating.)

So my advice is to get it checked out. A few days of hydrocortisone cream or similar will probably sort it out for good.

Thanks Jacks. :A I did pop to doc and he said it's from sweating (I perspire don't you know!) and didn't really recommend anything. I think I will start talking baths again (instead of showers) with a drop of dettol in them plus use the Nivea soft. I said I've neglected myself a bit so my body is saying there, told you so :p

    Used up:
Clarins toner (yellow one) - WIBA no. It was a freebie (gift with purchase). Plus I prefer the comforting toner more.
