Why ? What was it that entertained you ?
How you managed to keep a sense of humour still even though it was such a disastrous and terrifying thought of your bank account being emptied, plus your replies were good - I just liked your style of writing.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Oh right....sorry , i just couldnt figure out if you were being sarcastic lol .
There have been some people who have hinted that i deserved to be scammed for being so stupid as to order from an unknown website , but hey , such is life.
On the grand scale of things i guess i have been lucky . This past year has been truely disasterous for myself and my family so this "minor hiccup" hasnt really bothered me....its bugging to think some little man from China is having several bottles of wine on me but there ya go lol
I managed to get my card stopped before they emptied it , ok yeah , i have at this point in time lost £55 but on a scale of 1-10 thats nothing compared to what others have lost to fraud.
If i get my money back , which the bank says i WILL then i will be happy , if i didnt get it back then thats my tough luck lol.
To be honest , pcombo's post above insinuates that i would actually claim a chargeback and then go ahead and keep the fake ghd's *if* they actually do arrive....
nothing could be further from the truth . I was buying the ghd's for my daughters , 14 and 17 and theres no way i would EVER let my daughters come to harm over a fake set of straighteners.

Oh no I was not being sarcastic atall. It was a genuinely interesting thread. Anyway I wish you all the best Joanne and I don't think anyone deserves to get scammed. My son had a similar experience but his was a fake Microsoft message saying his girlfriends computer had a virus which would take all credit card details etc.
He panicked and ended up paying the charge they were asking to stop this happening. similar to you, we had to keep checking his bank account - it was a nightmare. He was in tears and kept saying how stupid he had been. No just a human who someone else took advantage of.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

UPDATE.
Well , it's been 24 days now and still no sign of the ghd's being delivered.....i have to say that in all honesty i never expected them to arrive any ways.
I was successful with my debit card charge back though and thought i would post an update incase any one is still reading.
I visited my bank around 3rd/4th of August to begin the chargeback process and on 18th August i noticed that the full amount had been credited to my account. So approx 2 weeks in total.
