  • Hi all

You all seem to have done really well. I didn't do to well really. Managed to finish jacket but thats all. Was being held against my will at work:mad:

I did manage to get out my old dressmakers form - she is called flo, but unfortunately when I cranked her up to the biggest setting she was still thinner than me:mad:   Where did all the fat come from.:o

Hopefully I will complete my door curtain this week.

Good luck everyone and merry christmas

rice! ordinary, non-cooked, bog standard basmati rice. the OL cheapo kind. just make sure your material isn't something that will melt - do a trial run in the microwave - i would have thought something natural would be better. I used a wool/cashmere blend (which was expensive, but i didn't need a lot), but you could use cotton if its going in a cover.

good luck with it - and well done with the cardigan!!

hello all you lovely people ;)

ive dropped major hints to OH for one of those mini £15 sewing machines for christmas (so i can find my feet and see how i get on with this arty crafty business).

i was wondering if anyone had ideas of nice and relatively easy projects to build my sewing confidence and enthusiasm? its about time i graduated from wonderweb onto something a bit more challenging :rotfl:

  • Hello everybody, I've just finished some bits and piecs that are on my sewing project list...I was just wondering how to attach photos for you guys to see my fruits of labor...I have finished my big cushions, and have already filled them with the buckwheat hulls...All I need to finish is the cushion covers. There are also some additional impromptu projects that I will do and share with you guys through photos.

Last night I sewed up a hole in the sleeve of a woolly jumper and sewed a button back on a jacket.

I am also planning on making a little shopping bag from some material I have left over (actually, a tablecloth bought in a charity shop and already used to make other stuff!).
