Good Morning
I am watching the developments on MG's thread with interest and excitement, also a huge amount of confusion and bewilderment. I think I can only watch at the moment. There have been some great inspiring and profound posts, newbies and oldies alike.
I have for now given up with the printer, it is really frustrating me though.
I am on a mission today, a true dot to dot mission. Back on the old declutter and ebay mission. Do something about my bedroom and the kitchen. The utility room has degenerated yet again.
Maybe Mr Bigs elimination list is the way to go ?
Put a freshly washed pair of jeans in this morning and it again I am reminded that we definetly have some excess.
All this stuff was clearly a target in my first post, so at least I'm keeping on keeping on !DC.

hi DC - I know what you mean about MGs thread... I find it fascinating and inspiring but haven't yet thrown all my efforts into Mr Bigs challenges.... Still pondering... plus it is so much hard work!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi DC I've sent you a message...
I think with Mr Big's elimination list - even if that was the only thing we took away from his emails it would improve our lives no end I am sure... I am literally surrounded by junk at the mo... We got given 4 "new" chairs last week but I am struggling to get rid of the old ones so I have 4 chairs cluttering up my living room literally in my eye line as I write this plus we just look like we've been burgled!!!! Not really quite the look I am aiming for...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH, have replied.
Do you think perhaps one day 'reverse minimalism' maybe the trend ? Because I have got that look to down to a fine art. You never know one day people may want the 'excess chair ' look.....
Am up early looking for inspiration.....DC.

I am really going to have to catch up on MG thread as I get lost now reading other peoples.
I do find though that its amazing what you can do if you have to. As an example, my auntie rang yesterday to say she was going to Dad's grave and would call in if I was free. Too honest to say I was going out, my house went from 'just burgled' to 'not too bad after all' in absolutely no time.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I appreciate that at this time of year your many subjects desire a warm corner in a dwelling of a human. I am writing to request that could you please make it known amongst your kind that my house is not suitable for this activity.
Last night one of your - shall we say 'senior' members decided to wander in halfway through Coronation Street and made himself comfortable on my sofa.
Upon seeing this I broke out in a cold sweat, started shaking and emitted a cat like scream. My 13 year old son copied my actions, and grabbed a broom, what for I don't know. What followed for the next 20 minutes was a turfing over of sofa cushions, the summoning of a reluctant 16 year old armed with a tupperware pot and his GCSE certificates. Mad dog also got involved but 8 legs are faster than 4.
The spider in question had well developed calf muscles, a suitcase and change of address cards. He has been evicted, but please no more....

Further to the above letter,
Dear King of Spiders,
I too understand that your brethen need a warm place to call home, but would also point out that my house is alas not suitable and is indeed dangerous for your kind due to our TWO Spider eating hoovers.
I am sad to say that upon the arrival of a huge subject in my bedroom (and not the huge subject a girl can but dream of) I made haste downstairs to ajourn to the sofa for a my night's rest. It was with horror I realised another subject (admittedly not so impressively huge, but still sizable) had taken up residence in the corner wall of the hall. Far too near the sofa for my liking.
My noise (read shriek) awoke my long suffering mother who bravely despatched of said subject with the hoover.
I apologise for the loss of one of your subjects but feel you should now warn all spiders to stay away from my house.
The huge one in my bedroom was last seen in the living room* I hope making his/her way to the outside.
Yours sincerely
Buffy

Brilliant Buffy, I think we do need to advise them that they enter our homes at their own risk, I mean the hoover will be used in situations that have no other option. At least we've put it out there I'm sure word will spread that there are far better places for them to set up for the autumn.DC.

I have been faffing !!! All day. Done stuff, like the domestic duties, dog walking etc etc but also managed to waste an hour on FB. And it is a wasted hour. If I'm going to have some chill out time I don't want to waste it on FB, what is it about that site ?DC.
