  • What a lovely day I had yesterday, busy morning then some sunshine, a James Patterson and the garden. All neighbours absent for three hours, boys out with mates. My idea of heaven.

The shred is getting easier, although I do have shoulder muscle awareness today !

Done a quick job hunt this morning, nothing going, but then it is the day after a bank holiday.

Only working two days this week, but I must finish OU TMA if I am to enjoy the week.

Sun is shining, not looking forward to 6 hours at work, but adopt calm, positive attitude. Some of my colleagues like to go on and on and on about how tough their life is. I seem to be the shoulder/ear they want to spill it all too, so I shall go with it, remember the wise words:
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Morning DC, sounds like yesterday was a good day for lots of people. I know how you feel about people wanting to lean on you. Love the wise words, it is sometimes hard to be silent. There is a good book called the one minute manager meets the monkey, it is great if you have a tendency to worry about other people and their problems. As I have gotten older I am less drawn into other peoples problems. And I usually find that the people that are vocal have far less to worry about than those that are getting on with life in a quiet calm manner.
Enjoy your day and good luck with the OU. I do admire you doing that.

  • Ok mini rant approaching...

That 6 hours felt like 12, I wouldn't mind doing 12 hours if I felt the work I was doing was giving me the old job satisfaction. I really don't know what I'm doing there, halfway through the day I actually stopped and looked around me and thought - I am so bored ! Under current of general mood is very negative, I know it's long weekend blues, me included but cattiness..ugh.

    Mini rant over

So back on the job hunt, applied for one, still digging through the various websites for something else...
Cheri the wise words were - as I'm sure you recognised - from your Dalai Lama top 10.

DC I did recognise, and it is always good to be reminded. You rant all you like I am heading over to mine now to have a mini rant too. Once that is out of the way I will join you in the job hunting.
