Got my answer from AP. Even though I was told it had been shipped Friday, apparently it hasn't and is still sitting in the warehouse and will be delivered tomorrow.
Pain for me, but at least I know now.

(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Yes you can let them know where you want the stuff to be put so no problem about not being in;)

Working on the principle that they are forces rations and designed to be eaten on the move, OH and #2 son just ripped the packet open and munched - their report was that they were more like a cold spicy beefburger in a bun than a pastie, but they were happy to eat more...
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • I love approved foods, but like many I am getting a bit fed up of the delivery side of it, my order says it has been collected and dispatched from the approved foods warehouse, yet I can't track it, cannot find a phone number for approved foods, or can't get through to dpd, getting fed of waiting in and wondering if its coming or not, it might be cheap but its getting a lot of hassle, I might start looking elsewhere if the customer service side doesn't improve . Maybe they are getting too big and need more staff.:(

I don't know if this is the problem you're having but usually you can't track the order until the next day as it won't have been scanned in by DPD.
I think mine is always delivered the day after I get a dispatched e-mail

cannot find a phone number for approved foods,

There's a phone number on the Delivery info page of their web-site. I've used it and got through straight away (and the nice man was very helpful!) HTH

They taste fine cold straight from the packet , but better if you remove from packet and give them a quick one or two minute blast in the microwave ( turn over half way through )
  • anyone finding that they are getting dearer than home bargains/ poundstreacher for there food?
in a small shop in swadlincote called yum yum, they have sainsburys crunchers for 10p a packet they are like tuc biscuits. approved price 17p if you buy 6. a bit differance. at the mo approve foods are doing pepsil 4 cans in a pack for £1 lidil does that normaly and well in date. also the amount of non food has increased and there is not that amount of normal food on the website just mostly sweets and junk food.
    rant over.
