I've had some terrible orders (damaged and the like) with approved food, but i have to say that in the last 7 days i have placed 2 orders with them and i have had really good deliveries with no damage at all....admittedly i rodered no liquid products, but hopefully they are now going to consistantly improve in that area. Had some really good bargains this past week too.

I have used Approved Food in the past with no issues at all.

13 days ago I placed an order via Google and I'm still waiting for delivery.

I've been in email contact with the company and all I've received so far is loads of broken delivery promises - and loads of delays in responding to me.

I've written to them again this morning (as I couldn't get through to speak to anybody on the telephone) advising that unless this is resolved today I will begin a chargeback with my card issuer.

    Very disappointed :(

Has anyone tried the Diet Coke? I drink loads of the stuff and want to stock up, but I'm a bit nervous that it might taste odd when it is 6 months past best-before.

I received 2 replies from "Perry" at Approved Food today, however neither has addressed any of the concerns I raised nor answered any of my questions.

I have still not been given an explanation as to why there is such a delay with the delivery of my order (despite 3 or 4 times now being told that the goods have been sent) nor have I been told when the goods will be delivered.

As somebody who has worked in customer service environments in the past, I find it quite ludicrous that this has been allowed to drag on for what will now be a full 2 weeks without resolution.

I have also found Perry's most recent responses to be very curt and unprofessional, not even so much as an apology for this continuing to drag on nor a promise to investigate...or even an "I don't know" - just a "do you want a refund"! It looks like I will have little choice but to have a refund, however I'd also like an answer to my questions and at the very least an apology for the abysmal service...

Don't suppose anybody has an email address for the owner/senior management that I can forward my complaint and copy of correspondence with Perry on to? If not then I'll pop it in the post recorded delivery.

    Cheers,

I do think they are packing stuff MUCH better than before I've not had any damage for a while now.
I did get an email saying how busy they are though thanks to Martin plugging them on tv etc so maybe they are a bit snowed under atm Marc?

In my own experience, the customer service staff all start out wonderful, but then they are given more and more problems to resolve and that's when they get curt or unhelpful because they are under a lot of pressure.

Not that i consider that a justifiable reason. They get paid to do a job they should do it satisfactorily to 100% of their ability. Although of course, management should be open to employing more CS staff should it become necessary.

If i were you i would opt for a full refund.

Incidentally, if you have a Facebook account you could join their facebook page and make a public complaint that all their members can see, maybe it will get your order sorted more efficiently.

After reading this thread I'm a little worried as I just placed my first order yesterday. How long does it normally take them to ship goods? Maybe I'm just spoilt, but I'm used to companies shipping goods or at the very least acknowledging orders within 24 working hours, but I've not heard anything yet.
I'll post how I get on with them as all too often you only hear about a company when things don't go to plan, hopefully this wont be one of these cases.
