  • Hi guys!
i have a question regarging weight calculator-I ordered few times from Af and had no problems with deliveries but recently I've noticed very strange thing-every time i'm trying to put something into my basket the weight is not right-say I put 3 kgs of tinned goods and the weight is 3.5 kgs or even more.So by the time I finish it's about 3-4 kgs more than the real weight-definately it's not right?I send AF couples of e-mails but had no response. It's a real shame as it puts me off ordering.Has somebody got same problem or it's only me?
    Thanks!!!

there is always an allowance for packaging, not always accurate but it it`s probably fairest way to do it as they cannot weigh and price each order individually.

Yes I understand-but again has tried adding one pack of biscuits(weight 350 gr) and in the basket it's shown as 880 gr-surely it's never happened before? When I put an order at Big Brands each item in the basket was exactly the same weight as on the page.
  • I called them today, got through straight away and was given a refund for the undelivered & incorrectly delivered items and a small contribution to postage.

The weights given in the product description are the weight of the product but in the basket some extra is added for packaging, as treboeth says.
Occasionally mistakes are made with the weights and we appreciate customers pointing these out to us so that we can correct them.
The only biscuits I can see at 350gr are the Walden Chocolate Oatmeal and they go in the basket at 450gr.

With some reluctance, I have given up on my quest for getting reimbursed for the missing items in my order (mentioned in posts pages back), but am now buying from FB and BB4L. I'm appalled by Approved Food's indifference to my requests both here, on their webiste and via personal email, regarding their failure to respond to my complaint. They haven't just lost my custom though, they have lost the custom of others to whom i had previously recommended their business, and of course, to all those who read here on MSE, about Approved Food's disgraceful cutomer service and opt to buy goods from more reputable retailers.

Who are FB? Worked out BB4L.

I also found customer services to be lacking.

I live in Sussex where there are no weather problems. Ordered on 9th December. DPD tracking shows "DPD next day" but the order seems to be sitting at the depot in Crawley with no attempt made to deliver it. No idea when it will arrive.... Any ideas AF? (order no [80179 )
