... I just cant work out how the same people seem to get problems with EVERY order they have? ...

I'm wondering if any of those probs are courier-caused?

DPD have delivered all of my orders and had no problems with them at all.

Or it could be the nature of the things they order? I hesitate with big jars of sauce as I had a horrible breakage once- though those are some of the best things...
I don't agree that the bargains are not as good- it has always been really hit and miss with weeks passing with nothing interesting and then suddenly you end up ordering 3 or 4 times becasue there is a lot of new stuff.

my order is being delivered between 4 - 5pm at our works address, so hubby can bring it home with him...

I must admit... In the begining when they had the first surge of tv/newspaper and on here publicity they got overwhelmed, and we had to wait 2 weeks plus for deliveries etc, but from my personal experience... they have just got better and better..... ok the odd little blip, but on the whole I am extremely pleased....

I just cant work out how the same people seem to get problems with EVERY order they have?

cant wait to snuggle up tonight on the sofa... with hubby, with our nice warm fleecy blanket, and a load of sweets and chocolate and watch I'm a Celeb......:rotfl:

Well if you figure that out can you please let me know? Thank you.

Still no response about latest missing items from order, either on here or via email.

I'm not suggesting CTC or anyone else is in this thread is insinuating that any of us who are 'voicing' our complaints here are being less than frugal with the truth about problems we are having with our orders....but i can assure CTC and anyone else that I am most certainly not going to keep schtum about this company's poor customer service or the inability of their staff to pack orders.

I've had some terible orders, but as i have written previously on this thread, i have had some very good (in one piece and nothing missing - comes to something when that doesn't come as standard and one has to describe it as 'very good')...but it's a coin toss with Approved Food..you never know what you are going to get.

Also, not all of us post on here to say 'hey, great order' when things go right, because we may leave feedback on the AF forum if we choose to rate the packers etc...i don't email sainsburys or tesco to say 'hey thanks for the great order' either!!! So you may just read the complaints, so what? Does that mean we shouldn't write about them? Whyever not!

This is by and large a thread which is presumably checked regulalry by Approved Food staff and THAT is why I for one, post complaints...because i have trouble getting responses from anyone in their offices!

  • I've not ordered from AP but have been reading this thread. It seems AP had a lot of disgruntled customers when they first started their business and it doesn't look as if things have improved much despite the owner saying bear with us, we're understaffed, etc. Sorry that isn't the customer's problem, it's yours. I've been ordering from Big Brands and they have given excellent customer service. If I had an e-mail go unreplied because of problems with my order I'd take my business elsewhere.

Customer service comes into its own when things go wrong. It's how a company deals with the problem that tells you what the customer service is like. I had thought of ordering from AP but even when they have bargains I will not bother. Hope you get it sorted Katholicos.

I still haven't had my refund from over 2 weeks ago. I'm posting on here as it seems the only place they reply. I have used the contact us form twice now and nothing! I know it's not a huge refund (99p) but it's the principle, they should get back to you if you have a query. This is just good customer service.

I'm wondering if they're getting in over their heads with all the MSE'ers placing orders, too much demand! :D

It would be a shame if they can't sort things out as they do sometimes have good bargains on there, and my Mum has said she'll order from them ;)

I don't think you should keep quiet about it at all, believe me I will be complaining on here too if I have any of the problems you're having

ironically its because of one of your posts a few weeks ago mentioning AF that I first decided to give them a try ;)

I've passed your post on , Cheerfulness.

Not heard anything from you yet or received a paypal refund as requested. Just making sure I don't get forgotten as I've noted again someone saying they've had their refund within 24 hrs on Friday and mine was almost 2 weeks ago.

    Order #73855
Details -missing items and 1 breakage (as mentioned in email and previous post # 308)

    Thanks in advance.

I have to say that I agree here. They emailed me to say they were concerned that they might have made an error on my order and, if so, to contact them immediately and they'd sort it out. Was when they were doing the double order deal.
My heart sank but when the order arrived it was perfect. Shocked that they'd email me 'just in case' there was a prob. Excellent CS, was very impressed.

I know its great till its not type of thing and others might have had different experiences but so far I've been really pleased with my orders from Big Brands. Only needed a refund once for a missing item and had it within the same day.
