Approved Foods thread

I posted a few days ago about AF's delays. Our boxes arrived yesterday (Wednesday) so it was a week from order to arrival. Not sparkling, but ok. As someone else pointed out, we are buying dry/tinned goods and there's usually no special urgency (though in fact I did need some of my items quickly).
I am posting again to say that the goods supplied are mostly very good. There were just a few badduns in the box, but most of the stuff was very good and excellent value. It's always fun looking through it all and trying new things. So the overall experience is good, especially if you can fill your box and make the most of the postage costs.

Swinco have been good to me up and until now, the only issue i have is i never get a reply to emails, i do get the issue sorted within 30minutes of me contacting them, but never an actual personal reply... i order in morning normally its dispatched the same day , and i receive the next morning! cant get better than that....
The one company is is horrific is Food Bargains.. avoid them like they got a plaque0 -

I know many of you have used Approved Foods but I was really shocked to see their delivery charges. Do they really work out that much cheaper?0

delivery is done by weight 25kg a box I've found it really hard to get anywhere near that weight at times so usually split a order with a friend. but in all even if i can't make the weight of a full box the savings outweigh the cost of delivery but them I also only order every 3 months or so, it's not somewhere that you could do a weekly shop.0 -
Thanks Tori, I very quickly went over the 25kg, but that was because I was buying a lot of drinks for the kids packed lunches.0

Well, I can't say I'm impressed so far. My order is still being processed when I placed it on Thursday evening, yet the money for the order was very quick to leave my account and left before the weekend. Is this normal practise for this company?0
