Lucky boxes- the chance to put their mouldy food in something and pretend its new :p

I have only ever had good experience of lucky boxes. £1 for a good mix of a variety of stuff that you may not have tried before. If you are expecting a full box of high class stuff , then it obvioulsy isnt for you - but I always try and time my orders to include a box when they become available.

After a good start last year, AF seem to be getting very slow. An order placed last Wednesday still shows as "Being Processed" (which comes before "Being Picked") today (Monday) with an estimated delivery date of some time up to Thursday.

There are very few Internet outlets that take this long to pick and despatch a customer's order.
Such long delays are a strong disincentive to place further orders. It is off-putting for customers who are accustomed to the rapid service of other suppliers.
It would be interesting to hear the views of other customers.

I too feel the same, from having ordered in last year with no problems i rated them highly , to having ordered on the weekend and again my order says "processing" ... with estimate delivery for Wednesday, 10th April 2013 - Monday, 15th April 2013 .... yet you go onto the website today and it states Order within 5h 23m to have your order dispatched
between Thursday, 11th to Friday, 12th April ...
So with the above stands from what they recommend when you place your order is total bull?! ... So if another customer was to place and order TODAY they will receive it quicker than my order placed the weekend?! hows that fair. and how does that make for good business?!

I am not bothered about speed of delivery - Because I am bulk buying and not buying something I need for the next few days which I would be doing for a normal "day-to-day" purchase I would make from a normal supermarkets

I placed an order on the 31st March, received today. Noticably slower than the previous order which was placed on Thurs 28th Feb and received Monday 4th March. Hope itvdoesnt continue like this.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Don't forget that was a Bank Holiday weekend and I am guessing they make up and dispatch orders in date priority so any orders made over the Bank Holiday weekend would cause a backlog on the first working day!

I ordered on the 29th and received on the 5th (4 working days - site says 'Delivery, under normal circumstances should be within 2 to 3 working days')
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.

It is true that the time between orders being placed and despatched has recently been longer than it used to be. As has happened before, we are victims of our own success since our customer base is still growing rapidly.

We have taken measures to deal with this by further refining our systems and taking on even more staff. We are confident that orders will again be turned around as swiftly as in the past.

As has been pointed out on this thread, the bad weather and then the Easter holiday caused a backlog but this has now been dealt with.

As usual, many thanks for the feedback, which we always welcome.
