Croutons don't last 3 and a half years past their BBE date.....
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience, Pawsies. Did you open a customer service ticket regarding your order? We certainly do not put mouldy food in our lucky boxes. We make every effort to ensure the high quality of all goods leaving our warehouse. If a sub-standard product does inadvertently go out, we always credit or refund the customer if the matter is brought to our attention.

I don't think I was aware of it at the time. It's probably too late now to do anything about it- think it was back in October.

Has anybody tried the coffee whitener? I ordered 6 packs and thought I was getting an absolute bargain, as I rarely manage to use up a carton of fresh milk before it gets past its best. I decanted the first pack into a screw-top jar ready to use. When I did use it, I was so disappointed. It had a weird aftertaste, which made my coffee undrinkable. To date, I have been happy with what I have received from AF, but I wonder if occasionally things which seem too cheap to be true are false economy.
I also ordered the coffee whitener. It smelled and tasted foul. A complete waste of money. Not such a bargain!

has anyone bought the big boxes of Angel delight, it states on pack to mix with water or milk and freeze with berries. I wondered what it would be like with just water, and why is it less amount water than if I used milk. many thanks
We made it with water and it tastes the same as when made with milk. Kids love it.

Ive been buying from approved foods for about 16 months now, I just counted how many orders Ive made in that time, around 40. Ive only had one experience where something I really wanted wasnt picked and then was sold on to someone else, apart from that Ive been more than happy with the service. My mum and I sometimes do a joint order but she buys from them as well. Im on a low income, I was unemployed for a spell and now I'm self employed but still on a fairly low wage and its been a god send for me in times of ever rising supermarket prices. I only have to go supermarket shopping now for certain bits and pieces. I think its a fab idea, its keeping food out of landfill and its helping people in these economic times. I also cook much more from scratch now. I also like the fact that when I want a snack, I can get a packet of crips for about 15p, its about 70p in my local shop. Things like pasta, rice, tofu, spelt, polenta, coconut milk, thai paste, Ive had some amazing bargains and Ive made a lot of meals from approved food ingredients. Ive also not had any major problems with delivery. They also sell the astonish range of cleaning products which are very cheap and also BUAV approved (vegan). Ive had a few decent items whenever Ive bought a lucky box, no complaints about them at all.
