Another question... has anyone bought the Samsonite travel adaptors?
Samsonite do two types, one for Europe and one for the rest of the world, usa etc. The one on the picture says European, but the plug shown actually for usa etc. If anyone bough it, what did they get? :)

    hi TF :)

if it's the same as the ones I bought a couple of months ago, you get two adapters, European & American & little drawstring bag to keep them in

& the American one has swivelable (don't think that's really a word :o) pins for use in Australia, NZ & parts of the Far East

EDIT ... checked my previous orders & it is the same pack

I was considering placing an order for something recommended on another thread, but after someone placed the link the price DOUBLED.
I was going to place an order, but had to leave it half way to go and attend to something, when I came back an hour later, the price had gone up

People who use the regularly will probably know the answer to my question :): Was that just a coincidence, or do they monitor sales and increase the price if something is very popular, like Amazon do?

if you are talking about the olive oil , I believe this was a special offer just for the weekend, so you may have just caught them as they where resetting the prices.

I thought I'd take a look at the site as lots of people post on the mse forums about how great it is and how much they've saved.

Am I not looking properly? Everything that I would consider buying would work out no cheaper than buying the same items when on offer at the supermarket, even foodstuffs that were past the bbe date. In fact I thought that some "unbranded/not a well-known brand" items were more expensive than buying the supermarket equivalent.

Is there some way people search for bargains on the AF site or is it just a case of striking it lucky with a specific deal when it comes up?

there is a "popular products" and "biggest discounts" link on the "latest products" menu.
  • I placed this order on Wednesday evening and did not receive an email to confirm that it had been placed so was monitoring its status quite closely.

Yesterday morning the status changed to "unknown status: received" so I sent a message asking about it which has not been replied to.

A couple of years ago I put in an order which did not get linked to me and by the time I asked about it, it was too late to receive the goods so a refund was given instead. Please could someone check that this order is in the system for me?

    Many thanks

Mortgage-free Glee! Hung up my suit! Xmas Saver!
I know a lot have on here but the delivery puts me off, if I add things to my basket the delivery seems quite expensive and considering that the items are either going out of BBF date or well past then is it really that much of a saving?
