I'm not sure if this is something under AF's control or whether it's caused by the rise of shops like B&M who essentially do the same thing with short-dated goods, and probably source from the same place but in greater quantities and better economies of scale. I'm not sure there is an answer as obviously AF have to charge for delivery.
Thanks for the feedback. We are constantly working to source the best bargains possible for our customers. As for the delivery charges, this is something we don't make money on and the going rate is what we have to pay. However we are currently looking very hard into ways in which we can reduce delivery costs.“Official Company Representative

I received my order yesterday - my only gripe is that the delivery was about 2 minutes early
Well packed, everything present and correct, I will definitely use them again.
I bought some of the Ceval Healthfood Cinnamon Crisp Paste, just out of curiosity... and oh my goodness, i'm glad I did! It is basically speculoos paste (you know, those delicious caramelised cinnamony biscuits you get with your coffee?) and I am ashamed to say I had to stop myself from eating it my the spoonful... I got two jars, I wish i'd bought 10
I bought some to try with my first order and though the same- yum!!!
I have just placed my 3rd order which includes 10 jars. I used it as filling for cinnamon buns as well.* Ebay- 1 Bag a Day *0 -

For me going to BM's for example would cost £5.80 by bus for a 3 mile journey.
AF charges about that for a delivery of 25kg. If I were to buy that weight from B'M's or a major supermarket I'd need to get a taxi home and that would cost me £11.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -

I dont think the delivery charge is unreasonable given the size of the packages - £5.25 for 25Kg. I try to think of it as a percentage of the potential RRP , rather than as a percentage of the order value.0 -

Sorry, I don't think I explained myself very well. I don't think the charge is unreasonable for the weight either, but the fact remains it's a lot of money and I just wouldn't pay it for eg a supermarket delivery. So for me personally, I'd need to find a lot of products I wanted considerably cheaper than a SM to pay the charge, and lately that hasn't happened. This is just for me, everyone's personal experience and needs will be different.
Also I'd love to be proved wrong and find lots of bargains again which aren't junk food. And then I'd place another order like a shot.0 -

, stuff tends to disappear very quickly, blink & you miss it
the other day they had lovely organic orecchiette pasta dated 2014, which is hard to find & expensive (even un-organic) anyway it was all snapped up within half an hour. I was lucky to be on the spot & got myself a few packs, but there must be lots of other desirable things I miss because I'm not browsing the site 24/70 -
Reading all the reviews and comments in this thread I decided to give Approved Foods a go. The order turned up on time, well, half of it did! The delivery driver said that the other parcel had been damaged at the depot. A few days later the other parcel turned up in a plain box with DPD tape all over it. When I checked the order 9 items were missing or damaged. Items in the Approved Foods box were well packed and as expected, lord knows what DPD did to the other box!
Approved Foods have credited the missing/damaged items without fuss and with an apology, even though not at fault for the damage.
I am very happy with both the products and the service and will certainly use them again.“D’you know what a loser is?

Hi Everyone
Has anyone used this site? I did a quick search on the grabbit section but couldn't find anything but I apologise if it has already been mentioned...
I had been searching on Google for Pectin Powder and came across it... Seemingly they sell off 'end of line' foods and goods and close to 'end of date' foods.
I had a quick look on in it; ordered their dried pasta which has rocketed up in price this last while (60p) Semolina (33p) Dried onions (33p)... and some of their other stuff as well... and the powdered pectin... I ended up paying £3.75 for postage, but considering what I bought, it would have cost me more in petrol to drive to the nearest supermarket... You can also order some items that actually reduce your delivery costs ... or if you order over £30, you get free delivery... I didn't need that much ..
They have quite a large range of goods, but I found their drop-down menus difficult to click on.... but I still persevered..
Here's the link if anyone wants it:
