If you click the link you will see that they sell drinks too. I'm guessing that's what you mean?

  • I ordered from Approved Foods years ago and was happy with the delivery, service and goods.

Today I received my second order and it was a different story. Firstly delivery was for yesterday, but didn't come so I rebooked for toady. A washing up liquid had leaked in one box and everything in that box was sticky. Glass jars were very well apckaged, but oether items were not and had no bubble wrap so were rolling round in the bottom of teh box. 4 items were not supplied (no explanation) and 8 ot the tins were dented. I do not ever buy dented tins so we will not consume these.

I have raised a ticket, so am waiting to hear from the comapny. Approved Foods, you can do better than thjis. A very disappointed customer.

Now you've got me worried as I've put in a second order!

I did get a reply re my first ticket saying the goods were out of stock and saying my account had been credited, I'm not sure if this means a refund though so have asked for clarification. It does seem a little ad hoc sometimes rather than they have a set policy.
  • They do have a set procedure, that is they credit your account, but i suppose if people do not intend shopping there again, then a refund would be needed. I have never really had problems with AF and i have been ordering for about 3/4 years, except for a time a few years ago, when things went a bit wrong, but they seemed to recognise the problem and it got sorted. If orders do not turn up on time, that is not usually down to AF, but the courier who has been entrusted with the delivery. I would not worry, at worst, if all fails, you will have all your money refunded, which is a waste of your time, but unfortunately happens when you have courier companies practically jumping on boxes marked fragile and handle with care. I personally think AF need to have stern words with the couriers, as im sure they put loads of business their way.

Just wanted to post my experience of AP. Read the various posts on here so wasn't sure, but decided to go for it.
I ordered last week and found them very good for letting me know when it was picked/packed and sent out. The courier DPD have a good website and also texted me with details of the day of delivery (yesterday) and on the day another text early on to give me a one hr time slot-1.38 to 2.38 (very precise lol).
The delivery came at 2 so right in the middle of the slot. The guy was very nice, and the box didn't have a mark on it.

Everything was well packed and they even put an extra empty small box inside to fill out the space inside the overall large box and stop the other small boxes having room to move about. All glass jars were bubble wrapped and it went heavy items in the bottom small boxes up to lightest items on top.

Well pleased, only issue was the picker miss counted on some of the packets I ordered but as the mis counted the 12 I ordered to give me 13 of each not an issue for me just extra "free" really.

Definately will use them again if there are items I want.

  • I have been curious about these guys for a while now, but finally decided to go for it.

I received my order yesterday - my only gripe is that the delivery was about 2 minutes early :D

Well packed, everything present and correct, I will definitely use them again.

I bought some of the Ceval Healthfood Cinnamon Crisp Paste, just out of curiosity... and oh my goodness, i'm glad I did! It is basically speculoos paste (you know, those delicious caramelised cinnamony biscuits you get with your coffee?) and I am ashamed to say I had to stop myself from eating it my the spoonful... I got two jars, I wish i'd bought 10 :D

The above two posts illustrate that you have to remember that most people will only post negative experiences , so for each negative there are far more positives ( like the above 2 ) that are never mentioned.

If you have never tried AF before - give them a go. I have never regretted it :j

I have had very good service from AF, and some good bargains. Increasingly though the prices are not particularly competitive on some products and it's really putting me off when the delivery charge is so high. I'm not sure if this is something under AF's control or whether it's caused by the rise of shops like B&M who essentially do the same thing with short-dated goods, and probably source from the same place but in greater quantities and better economies of scale. I'm not sure there is an answer as obviously AF have to charge for delivery.
