  • cnd54321 ive been ordering from AF for years, its mainly been excellent, im sure they don't knowlingly make mistakes. You will get your full credit im sure. I do have issues when a bulk order is put in on one item and then its out of stock. Sometimes i would not have ordered if this item was not in stock, so a refund would be preferred. Anyhow, don't worry about your refund, when they realise their error, they will refund you.

I placed an order Tuesday which was over £30 (my first order so delivery was free). today i received an emailed saying the thorntons chocs 250g were no longer in stock, I ordered 5 boxes, £1.99 each so total of £9.95 for the chocs. The email said they owed me 99p!! and would give me £1 as a goodwill gesture. Then under this it said £1.09 would be credited to my approved food account.
I can't see how this can be right.
Do approved foods answer the ticket system well for contacting them or is there a phone number to ring.
    Any help appreciated.

Have the Creme Eggs gone UP? Currently showing as 19p each, I'm sure they used to be 10p...
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Got my first ever AF delivered yesterday. I was tempted by the free postage for a first order over £30 and also the Creme Eggs at 10 for £1....;)

Anyway two huge boxes arrived ten minutes into my delivery slot time and the driver lugged them up the stairs for me with a cheerful "Nae bother, missus". I was impressed at the excellent packaging, my cats were thrilled to bits with all the cardboard boxes! I had ordered a lot of things like soup mix, cous-cous, fifty Creme Eggs (the outer of 48 are for DD's birthday, the other two are mine) but also a fair variety of sauces and chutneys. We eat a lot of these and they're expensive. The order was 100% correct, it was all well packaged and undamaged.

I also ordered one of their Surprise boxes for £1 just out of curiosity, when I opened it I found it stuffed with a variety of useful lunch box things, nine more Creme Eggs (!) and a pack of herbal slimming patches....:rotfl:

I can't see myself being a frequent customer tbh, maybe two or three orders a year. I've not got space to store more than yesterday's delivery, the dining table was covered! But I was very impressed, I will definately use them again.

I ordered the night before the free delivery post so missed out on that. I then got an email a couple of days after the order to say they were giving free crisps to people who'd never spent any money with them so I was too late for that offer as well :(

There was a bit of crush damage to some chocolate but they're for gifts anyway and I doubt anybody's going to complain about the packaging when they get them. Only one item was missing but that was soon forgotten about when I spotted there were 9 extra Creme Eggs in the box!

I liked their one hour notice email that was sent and the delivery driver was great. I'd shop with them again but it looks like it's better done in bulk.

*can't be worse than when I accidentally ordered 55 cases of poppadums instead of 5, the box weighed next to nothing but was taller than I am  :rotfl:

    re delivery, you're lucky!

although I'm always pleased with the goods, the delivery man we have complains about the weight of the boxes & how hard they are for him to handle due to an arm injury, so now we look out for him, meet him & get him to leave them at the bottom of the stairs & if my son's around get I him to bring them up the 2 flights or I very gradually shuffle them up myself :o

I know, I know, I know it's wrong, but I'd hate to think it's the only job he can get & that reporting him would get him sacked
  • Firefox doesn't want me to open the AF website as it's security licence is invalid (or something like that). Scared me a abit, should I proceed?
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

I've had that happen when I've gone to the site via my gmail using Chrome.

I shut/re-opened my browser and typed the url in the address bar :)
