  • Hello I'm new here so I thought I would introduce myself.

My names Sue and I suffer from

    Depression
    Agoraphobia
    Panic Attacks
    Diabetes
    and
    Peripheral Neuropathic Disease.

I'm currently seeing a psychiatrist who's hoping to sort out my medication. When he's done that he wants to pass me on to someone who does talking therapy. Sorry I can't remember the name.

I currently receive ESA support and DLA LRM. I sent an email to my brother yesterday to tell him how I was really feeling and he phoned me today telling me what I had to do. Tried to explain the reason I was telling him this was so he would understand me. Ended up with me in tears again and him promising not to nag me about leaving the house. I still not sure he really understands though:( I think you need to be suffering or have suffered depression and all the rest to understand.

I know my brother loves me so I guess thats the main thing.

Sorry to have rambled on in my first post

On a good day I can get showered, unfortunately they are few and far between at the moment so you better stand downwind of me. :p

  • Welcome silvertoes and sachasmum. Pull up a chair and make yourself comfy.
I don't post here so often these days, but always read along and will jump in if there's something I can offer support with or am feeling in a nattering mood.

Brief post I'm afraid, as I'm just enjoying some dinner, but wanted to welcome you!
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

    Hi new people :wavey:

I went to the poundshop today and bought 4 jars of Tiger Balm (they're teeny!) and 3 packs of 4 heat patches.

Hiya to the new people....doesn't seem that long ago that I was a newbie to here!

I'm actually not too bad this week, in fact, I feel pretty good! Mind you, that may be down to not really doing much so far and having the boys around to help with shopping (well when they are not fighting, running off and generally being stressy), they are pushing the trolley, they are packing the bags and they are then transferring said bags from trolley to car and from car to house...so saving me doing it. They are also helping with doing other things around the house that I would normally do plus of course, no school means time to rest the old bones when they get engrossed in a film/playing with lego etc...they do like dear old mum to sit on the sofa with them and enjoy whatever they are doing which kills two birds with one stone, they are being kept an eye on and I rest!

Mind you, getting bored of blooming Star Wars now!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I've always wondered what Tiger Balm is for. I've bought the cool head patches from there before and they're just as good if not better than the more expensive ones.

It's like heat rub, but better. I use it on the arthritis in my wrist and it really helps. But it smells.
