I just thought I'd pop my head in *waves*

I managed to walk round my local pet shop without my stick today, I only walked a very short distance (50 steps or so) but it made me happy, especially as I didn't knock into anything or trip over (which is becoming increasingly more common) and my little woofwoof went wild for the stuff I got him :) I am also very lucky as my dad purchased an ipad as a belated graduation present for me today too.

Right now I am in a lot of discomfort, but not much pain; does anyone else get that?

Well done, FP. I miss having a woofer here; can't wait til I get an email asking me to look after another canine guest.:o

We've been into town this afternoon.
Had to pick up my meds (including the all-important morphine;)) , also got a supply of envelopes for the membership paperwork I do, at 20% off in Smiths, and a couple of storage boxes in Debenhams as I had a £5 voucher.

Finished up with a spot of grocery shopping in Morries.

Cream crackered now - I think Mr LW is too, pushing the Wolf-Mobile (ie my wheelchair) through the crowds. It was awfully busy, more so than usual.

Mr LW's so good though - does all the talking to sales bods, as he knows I hate doing that bit.:A

MK Beer Festival tonight - Mr LW and his pal "A" are going, and I have to drive them home. Mr LW wants me to go in to the festival with them, and he'll push the Wolf-Mobile (they'll have soft drinks available for Designated Drivers), but I'd prefer to come home and then pick the pair of them up later. If it was summer, I'd just sit and wait in the car with a book, but it's too cold to do that. *shivers*
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Wow 2 good things today then:) Its nice when you can do things. I'm feeling quite pleased today as I managed to do dinner for myself. Okay it might only have been toast and a tine of beans and sausages, but its better than some of the rubbish Ive been eating.

Only 2 kitchen accidents today, a burnt hand after an accident with a cafatier and a scratch on my other hand which I have no idea how it happened. At the kitchen is still standing :T
I suffer from depression, agoraphobia and panic attacks.

On a good day I can get showered, unfortunately they are few and far between at the moment so you better stand downwind of me. :p

I wound up in A&E again last night; left shoulder's been in and out for days, and it set off the costochondritis so badly I felt like my chest was being crushed, which in turn sent me into an asthma attack, so...yeah. Nearly fainted in the street hyperventilating, so I got taken in by a paramedic to see if they could help me and to check it wasn't my heart (what with the many complications EDS can have :P) that was the problem.

It wasn't; as I had half-expected, the pain was from the muscle spasms and inflammation of the chest wall. My regular dose of morphine wouldn't cut it, so the doctor I saw in A&E told me to double up for a few days. I'm pretty spaced-out right now, and have spent a lot of time sleeping today. On the plus side, I don't hurt nearly so much. (But who knows how long that'll last? :P)

I get to see Dr. Ho on Monday morning. Here's hoping she'll be able to help!

The schools are off so everywhere is very crowded, the chavs have to take their chavies everywhere when they cant leave them out doors alone (they darnt leave them at home because they treat it with the same respect that they do other peoples homes)

I'm in a lot of pain now :( At work I had to do lots of lifting and I struggled, and whilst I asked for help I was just ignored. Towards the end I went to open the door and got shooting pains down my arm. Now my fingers are lovely and swollen.

  • LW - Having a dog is amazing, he makes such a difference to both my mental and physical health. I knew I would really appreciate having a dog but I didn't know how much I could love him, especially in such a short space of time (we've had him 3 months) and how much less lonely I feel with him around. Timmy luuuuuurves naturediet complete wet food, we put it in a bone and he goes wild for it.

I'm going out shopping for the day tomorrow (well, technically today - accidentally had a nap earlier so sleep patterns are all out) and I think it's going to be good, its both my mum and my favourite place to go shopping but now they've added a new shopping area and my health has worsened it has been just too to go just for a short while. This time we are going to brave it with my scooter :D However, I am a bit worried as it's quite a bit of luck to find a disabled parking space there and although my mum could stop to drop me off and then park in a normal space, she's going to be a hellish inconvenience to anyone trying to pass when she gets the scooter out in all its bits and assembles it on the silly one-way system car park.. But then my mum is great, if she feels she is in the right she will be stubborn as mule so the embarrassment factor or people getting frustrated at her won't phase her :)

... P.S if anyone was wondering, the disabled spaces are right next to the walk way so she will be able to get each piece out of the boot and bring it round to the walk way (can't park backwards as there are bollards so would be equally awkward to get it out of the boot!) Even if she found one of the rare normal sized spaces next to the walk way the space between the cars is not big enough to fit the pieces through.

Sorry for the long winded message, I'm not thinking clearly enough to know if I'm making sense so I thought if I waffle on people will eventually understand :D

Sorry this has happened to you Juno. Next time if you need help could you not do it till help arrives or is that not an option?:)

*hugs LW and FP* I completely agree about the advantages of having a pet, especially when you're isolated by illness or disability. My Gemma is wonderful company for me; she's calm, sweet and placid, and always seems to know how to cheer me up.
