Sign on and explain, it will depend on why they were planning on sacking you.
My DD left her job after weeks of being told she wasn't good enough and they were going to finish her but didn't. She used to come home in tears every night. We thought that they wouldn't give her jobseekers for 6 months so she didnit sign on straight away. As it was when she did sign on they allowed her the money and she could have been getting it for the 7 weeks she waited, so don't wait you may be lucky.0 -
yeah i think i will try it basically to cut a long story short
i got the sack from a previous employer for stealing from them
(not to be moment in life)
found this new job b4 i was charged by police and was advised by a charity company to tell them after the court hearing.
so i did that yesterday telling them im on tag and wouldnt be able to do nights
they said today either leave or be sacked but they have offered me a reference as i was agood worker.0 -
You lost your job as a result of dishonesty in a previous job (which if they had known about they would have very likely have never employed you); and incapacity on the basis that you were unable to do the job that they actually employed you to do because of the terms of your conviction - an incapacity caused by your own dishonest actions. I sincerely doubt that the JobCentre are going to find that a convincing reason to give you benefits - you lost the job through your own actions. You are fortunate indeed that the employer is willing to give you a good reference - most wouldn't.0

i think its because they know the ins and outs of what happened and i did a bloody good job there tbh.
i asked a question not a opionion onwhat i did.
havent you heard of people that change there lives
since i did what i did i do 2 volunteering jobs i have been accepted into college full time and i had that job and they said if i been honest with them from the start i could of probally did that job still.
any1 with any advice and not there opionion on my actions feel free to comment0 -

For most people tagging of itself would not cause them to lose their jobs, but I believe that the defence lawyer and the court should be ascertaining whether for each tagee their working hours are an issue.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. can't they change the times of restriction on tag if it's proven the person would be working they hours?0

If you post on a public board you get whatever you get. And for your information I have heard that people can change their lives and that is what the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act is for. But you have just now been convicted - a "turning around" of your life takes a bit more commitment than a few months good behaviour and a bit of volunteering, and if you don't like the fact that some people might expect just a tad more evidence that you've changed then tough luck.
And as for the criticism of the defence team and the court - the OP stole from his employer - so what adjustment exactly in terms of the tagging order do you think could have been made to prevent him re-offending? If he had been honest with his employer then maybe they might have been willing to make representations to the court. But he will never know that because they weren't told the truth about his employment past - and weren't given an option on deciding for themselves whether they wanted to employ someone who has stolen from their empolyer very recently. Because when they asked him for his employment history on the application he said what exactly - I was sacked because I had stolen something from them and I'm waiting to be charged?
This is down to the OP, and if he wants to feel sorry for himself because he is having to face up to the consequences of his own actions, then he hasn't really got a grip on real life. And as for the last employer - one is assuming that they were more honest than the OP, because it's the easiest thing in the world to say anything you like about good references etc., and heave a huge sigh of relief after he's out the door, then go check he hasn't stolen anything from them!0 -

He gave facts, not opinion on what you did. You just aren't happy that people have the measure of you. I absolutely cannot abide thieves.0
