So why is it wrong?
If I pay for exactly what iv ate and leave no mess what's the problem?
1. So what happens if you get to the till and realise you've got no purse/wallet?
2. It's not yours yet.
3. It's a scuzzy way to behave, it's chav and bad mannered.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

1. I get on well with the supermarket staff who know I would return to pay for it.
2. Yes but I would never eat anything without intending to pay for it.
3. Why is it scuzzy, chav and bad mannered? what effect does me eating a sandwich whilst doing my shopping have on your life?0 -

perfectly put and spot on on all counts.
See thing is people who do do this - their parents may have behaved in this way or their peers/friends do - so it seems normal to them.Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
Are people in that much of a rush that if they're hungry they can't go into a supermarket, pick something up and walk about 20 seconds to a checkout to pay for it then eat before continuing with the shopping? If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00

Good point Judderman - bad behaviour being passed down and amplified through the generations.
In that case, it's like banging your head against a brick wall for all the effect it'll have trying to explain why it's wrong.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Yes and no
I would like to suggest that many people know it is theft,scummy/chav but do not care or are in denial. That is what we are faced with in society in general Denial and a dont care attitude.0 -

Do you take a bite out of an apple before you buy?
Or cut a slice from a melon/pineapple too?
I am just playing devils advocate here because I actually don't think that what you do is the end of the world....but where do you draw the line?0 -
Can someone please explain what effect me eating a sandwich on that will be fully paid for and eaten with no mess left whilst shopping has on them?0
