Fiat 500?....

OP you might want to wait for the new engines to come out (likely September).
They have one that is claiming to be the most fuel efficient petrol engine. Link here to a review of it -

Audi TT to fiat 500, you will be bored of it in about 10 minutesNothing to see here, move along.0

TT to abarth 500 would be better imo0

OP,
I would say if you like the look of it and have done your research get a 500! Just because a few random people on the internet don't like them, doesn't mean you shouldn't have one! The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same! I had a Fiat Stilo a few years back and it was fine, no problems at all! I've had more trouble from a Ford KA that I use to have and my current Mazda. If I was getting another car, I wouldn't hesitate buying a Fiat, people who say they are pants are living in the past, their engines are known to be much better these days, the customer service can be a bit hit and miss though!!
Happy driving!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Whoahhhhhhhhh take this back a step.
Are you saying you are considering going from an Audi TT to a (poxy) Fiat 500?????
Is there any reasoning behind that??
The Audi is quite classy. Me daughter had one, didn't do 'owt for me but she liked it. Was very well engineered tho' and there lies the differenceI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

My car does 30mpg, but ive seen one that does 38mpg and it's only £8000!
If I break into my savings and get a loan at £100 a month for 5 years I can save a massive £5 a month on petrol :wall:
My current car costs £220 per year in tax. Servicing is around £400. Fanbelts around £400 which it needs. I live in an area that is a permit holders only area for which I have to pay £160. Its about to change to fuel emissions which will result in it being practically nothing if I buy this car. My insurance excess currently is £600 and costs around £400 per year. Whilst audis are very reliable and I would ideally keep it if I could, its going to cost more and more as things require to be done to it and I cant afford it now.:smileyhea0 -

I was made redundant end of last year, unemployed for 6 months and I am now earning around £25k less than I used to.:smileyhea0 -
I love my little fiat 500. Spent the best part of a year deciding to get it and ordered it right at the end of the scrappage scheme. The safety rating is excellent and it has v low CO2 emissions and great fuel economy. I also love the design- big fat bum and all. Lets be real, something like a panda or i10 works better on the initial cost and warranty I was a bit gutted they don't do a five door but have easily got used to it. I do not regret buying mine at all, it is a lovely drive. The gadgets are pretty nice too. I bought the pop, most basic model but added alloys, leather seats and leather steering wheel and therefore the blue and me system which I use loads for work calls. I plan and keeping mine a very long time and the basic cloth seats I think would stain after a while and the bog standard steering wheel looks naff. The reason i didnt upgrade to the lounge as it has a standard glass roof which I think ruins the classic look and the insurance was much cheaper even with the add ons.Saving for a deposit. £5440 of £11000 saved so far:j0

So maybe something a little less new and much cheaper would get you "back on track" ????;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

The initial outlay isnt a problem and Im not suggesting that Im in any way strapped for cash. I just dont have as much income every month as I used to so would prefer to get something thats cheaper to run so it reduces my monthly outgoings.:smileyhea0
