Yes it does, have you not seen where the Panda came on that survey? Also according to some german reports its constantly ranking between 2nd and third for reliability. You only need to look at the Panda forums to see how reliable they are. So many people have taken them upto 100k without issues.
The 500 is of course a Panda underneath.
You also only need visit some hard cure car sites and you will find most people who have had FIATs love them. Of course the Grande Punto was a let down but the new Bravo seems to be doing very well.0 -

So, you won't buy a Fiat because it said in a magazine that the Lexus RX or Jaguar XF came out as best cars? Shame we haven't all got your money. Or maybe we prefer making up our own minds.

You have got the message, what is the difference between what is said in a magazine than what is posted on an internet forum, the JD power survey is far more representative of owners opinions than a couple of Fiat fans on this site, I am far more prepared to take notice of an independent survey of many thousands of owners over several years than you.
Still if you wish to run a Fiat that is your choice, personally I would not even bother to look at one, but that is my choice. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

The point is that the Panda does well in the JD power survey and the Fiat 500 is one of the few small cars that Which suggests should be considered. But then some people are anti Fiat on principle.

Which!! about as reliable as a Fiat. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You all appear to have conveniently missed the bit at the bottom of the independent report I linked to, just for clarification here it is again.:p26 Fiat
Overalls 76.1%
Fiat has always languished among the bottom five manufacturers in the survey – it doesn't help that many so many owners complain about the quality and reliability of their cars.0 -

So, you won't bother as a magazine tells you not to.
As you say, that's your way of making a decison, me, I prefer to drive one, then make up my mind. But it's your choice as you say.
If the op isn't as easily led, they can decide for themselves as well, based on their experience, and information they gather.0 -

But in the independent 2010 survey you hammer on about, the Fiat Panda came second in the City car section. If you read the full survey it states:
'Fiat dealers seem to have picked up their game dramatically, with customers rating overall service above average compared with being below par in 2009.
The Panda was actually rated above average in every single area of the suvey, and owners raved about its tidy handling, responsive steering and strong brakes, more than any other city car.'0 -

Ah I see so driving one will tell you all about how reliable a vehicle is, you must be physic, when I am choosing a car I prefer to to do a bit of research, check all the options and take notice of other owners opinions about quality and reliability as well as test driving a model for a few days, that is called being sensible and not being swayed by first impressions and salesmen talk, and of course making my own mind up instead of listening to people on internet forums.:p0
