    Audi TT, Fiat 500.

Both cars, IMO, bought by people who would like to think they are stylish individualists and seek to prove it by buying the same car as all the other people who think they are individualists.

Triumphs of marketing over substance, both.

    While we're posting images lol

    Hmmmm........

I brought one of these at a time when nobody else had a clue what they were.
It's not a "washing machine" (not practical) and it's not a "handbag" (not stylish), it's just goes like poo off the proverbial shovel and thoroughly embarrasses the "ready made sports car" boys (and girls).

I don't mind. If you looked at my user profile you'd see I'm 53.:):)

I don't know how old Inactive is but I'd be surprised if he was much older or younger than me.

    Any particular reason for asking?

Thanks for the response, didn't realise ages where displayed on profile pages, so I've learnt something new today!! :D

I just wondered due to your opinions on why people buy cars. (the washing machine/handbag theory!)

I assumed that you would be in your 50's or 60's, I didn't want to say though in case I was wrong! Think your probably right though, some people buy cars to pose in and for showing off (my husband!) and others buy one for reliability and practicality (me!!) :rotfl:

Your age is only displayed if you have entered your full birthdate (self evidently).

I'm sure the older you get the more likely you are to buy a 'washing machine' although I have a bought fair few 'handbags' in the past.;):rotfl:

Well I'm only 28 and all I've ever bought are 'washing machines!' Maybe when I get to my mid 40's I might have a mid life crisis and buy myself a 'handbag.' :T
