Hi...we've been getting RnR on these for over a week now, I posted about them again on Friday....You are lucky you got a decent CS assistant who doesnt know that the £5.18kg is for a particular size of joint while the original £6.48kg applies to the rest.....Well done....but dont think it will be that easy in every store...I got banned from one store for forcing an RnR on this earlier in the week.0

I did not get given a ref but was told that it would be passed to keven kelly,
should I phone them again because I did not get a ref??
This guy is dealing with all the "console" stuff.
I think you should give him time to respond....you could ring and try to get a reference to your claim....just so you dont have to explain the details again, and again.0 -
bassman wrote:Ring HO gain, and speak to Kevan Kelly...but be patient, as I said above, there may be quite a queue in front of you....but HO do have the power to over rule in these instances....providing of course that the manager doesnt think that the whole act was "staged".....
did not get to speak to store manager, as i was told that he was not there (he was)
I got to speak to the Duty and I could tell by his face that he knew I was right, he was just not prepared to honour it for that amount0 -

Interestingly, I was told someone else called Joanne Leith was looking after the "console problem".... not sure why there is a different message coming from them, you are all calling the 0800 number I take it?0 -
kondormid wrote:Agreed. Had a right row with someone over it too as have others. I suppose it is a good training item though in so much as you have all the right bits for an argument and yet need to bite your lip and back down as bassman will be the first to agree those joints may have cost him more in the long run than they were marked up at.
Hi...Sorry but...I dont agree(in my case...but yours might be different)....This manager knew I was correct, but the only way out for him was to threaten me with a ban if I got full RnR.....in the end HO overuled him and I got my £50 ....and he banned me....He asked me "what part of the town do you come from, and where do you work".........I didnt tell him I wasnt even local.....so the ban didnt matter......but I couldnt let him get away with that type of threat anyway......could I?
but having said that I wouldnt even bother for an RnR for 2 joints.....
It all depends the value to you of your store after this episode.
In getting 60 (of my 100) cans of Fosters on friday night, a lovely CS lady said......didnt you get a phone for free last week, I smiled, and she smiled.....0 -

Maybe KK is overwhelmed....I used the 0800 and email, and letter to Sir T0 -

It seems like you've been very lucky with your Customer Service people, it's just a shame most of the other members of staff don't place the same accent on "Customer" Services as yours clearly have! :beer:0 -

Not at all.......she was an exception to the rule.....
Although having said that...Friday was like a dream....so easy....compared to the Meat scenario during the week0 -
bassman wrote:Are you talking about your episode here, or shoperholicnot's....
If its your's you are talking about, you have to give them time to respond, you have a reference, and have been told you will be contacted....If you arent contacted, ring HO again...Ask to speak to the bloke mcdonag mentioned some posts back...Kevan Kelly I believe his name was.......
If you threaten Trading standards etc at this early stage, I think you are less likely to get a result....
My RnR took 17days....and it was genuine...... the manager refused on the grounds that "it was too much"....be patient, there are possibly 100's of claims in front of yours......
Bassman,
thanks for your guidance and support, this will be by far my biggest R&R, after the phones a couple of weeks ago. I've never had to deal with HO before [I am a Newbie after all].Any opinions voiced are entirely my own and in no way represent those of anyone but me.
