    I've just had the same with the Xbox + game. I've been given a reference number and am awaiting a call from HO on Monday. They said that they have set up a special team to deal with this as they have had sooooooo many. Who could these other people be?

    Mcdonag have you got any ideas on what to do when they call? You iss dee man!!

    Oh yeah, got 10 packs of my friends...............maltesers. That's the nephews and nieces set up for Christmas. Remember everyone, it is the Maltesers that do the trick not the other Cars, Mars, etc; just go for the Maltesers!!!
    I was not given a ref number, did think when i put the phone down but too late then!

    As it is you've lost out. Accepting the refund means the transaction is finished.

    Go and find a different store, or a different manager ;)

    Hi...we've been getting RnR on these for over a week now, I posted about them again on Friday....You are lucky you got a decent CS assistant who doesnt know that the £5.18kg is for a particular size of joint while the original £6.48kg applies to the rest.....Well done....but dont think it will be that easy in every store...I got banned from one store for forcing an RnR on this earlier in the week.

    Just had XBOX r&r refused. XBox 360 + Test Drive unlimited - £20 discount didn't come off, as stated in the game of the week poster

    The C.S. guy said the good news is you get the game for free. I told him that according to their policy both should be free and asked for the manager. Manager said that this was not a bundle and only the game was mispriced.

    Stand-off ensued - when it was clear I wouldn't get anywhere I asked for the money to be refunded and that I would take it up with HO and Trading Standards.

    Another C.S. member of staff said that he couldn't go over the managers head but that he agreed with me. Pity I hadn't dealt with him all along.

    Things are looking slightly dodgy, I'm now concerned that the heavy weights are involved. I/'m wondering whether or not I will have to threaten with Trading Standards or even Watchdog.

    I think this one will be fun....let the battle commence.

  • When two prices are shown for the same item, the lower price must be charged. Failure to charge the lower price is an offence. You should have received a full R&R. I would report the store to Trading Standards. Also, report the member of staff to the Store Manager.
    i was already planning on making a phone call to TS on Mon morn as they also have 2 conflicting SELs for the sirloin steak and the beef joints.

    With regards to reporting the member of staff to the store manager....met him before and i had to stop myself from saying out loud that he was a dead ringer for Peter Kay's character Max in Max & Paddy!! :rotfl:

    I suppose i should send a copy of my letter to both Sir Terry and the store manager shouldn't i?

    THe person that i spoke to at HO said straight away that I was right and entitled to full refund, they phoned store but got no where as they cant go above managers head. he again stressed that store was in the wrong and that they were just trying to get out of it. will see what happens. If they want a battle they can have one.

    Are you talking about your episode here, or shoperholicnot's....

    If its your's you are talking about, you have to give them time to respond, you have a reference, and have been told you will be contacted....If you arent contacted, ring HO again...Ask to speak to the bloke mcdonag mentioned some posts back...Kevan Kelly I believe his name was.......

    If you threaten Trading standards etc at this early stage, I think you are less likely to get a result....

    My RnR took 17days....and it was genuine...... the manager refused on the grounds that "it was too much"....be patient, there are possibly 100's of claims in front of yours......

    Ring HO gain, and speak to Kevan Kelly...but be patient, as I said above, there may be quite a queue in front of you....but HO do have the power to over rule in these instances....providing of course that the manager doesnt think that the whole act was "staged".....
