So, who was the mystery man filling his trolley with steak at New Malden??

Asked him on the QT if he was doing R&R (I didn't have time tonight) but he just smiled enigmatically and said he didn't know what I was on about!

Grr just been to two big Tesco stores and all Game of the Weeks on the posters corresponded to what games are between the blue cardboard display things.

There was a slight discrepancy in one store though, it had Xbox GOTW as Lego Racers, but not offering a discount to buy it alongside an Xbox (they dont sell Xboxes at all from what I could see), but the game on the shelf was Lego Racers 360.....didn't think it'd wash as an R&R though.

I bought the Karl Slaughter book and CS insisted on giving me the £1 difference, six other books were still stickered at £8.97. She said that normally I would have been given money back and the item but this is a different type of mistake!! :eek: I pointed out that the big blue poster behind her was obviously wrong and they should take it down, but she looked completely blank.
I'll ring up Customer Services and ask them to clarify. I have had points added to my clubcard before for my inconvenience.
I'd be crap at getting anything really big and expensive, I hate causing a scene.

Yeh.....dont usually go out on a Friday night, but I thought I'd go out tonight and buy a drink or two


Well it all started very well......First pub had the Fosters mispriced at £12.98 on the Sel, and charged me £13.98....only had 60 cans so consumed the lot.

Next pub the missus asked for a wkd...the red one....Oh..£2.98 each or 2 for £4.50........thought i might have one as well as that sounds agood price....Well after 6 bottles each....the price went through at £2.98 each......not 2 for £4.50

In the next pub I got another 40 cans of Fosters......(thats all they had, in the 20 packs)

In the last...they were on the ball......got nothing

and nothing in the express on the way home either......

but by that time I'd had enough

100 Fosters and bottles of 12 wkd..........total RnR just over a ton(tonne)

Edit...must be drunk...that should read "12 bottles of wkd"

No Games console errors that I spotted.......but as it was Friday.....all the £5.18 beef had gone and the £6.48 stuff(see previous posts) was under the £5.18 sel....I didnt bother...got enough (at the moment)

I'm not so sure - tesco continually post record profits with £1 in every £8 spent in the UK going through their tils. And while £640,000 is a huge amount of money to most of us it is a drop in the ocean when compared to their £2.21 billion profits for 2005.

To put it in context, that's like a company with £2.1 million profits losing just £640 on refunds! (I think!)

It is shocking the way some people have been treated on this board, possibly many more customers, who dont post here or even know of this site, have been treated the same way!

Not guilty ...but be assured the Sel "shouldnt" be there any longer.

Unfortunately the majority are just prepared to accept the difference refunded...Ive seen 6 incidences of this in the last 3 days.....

One manager set out his stall immediately to me by saying..."On this one occassion I am prepared to offer you the difference".........I ended up with a full RnR....on all 6 packs.

just tried the PS2 and Stars war but the discount came off?, I thought the GOTW changed ?, first time i've tried it and disaster.

did mamage to get some twin pack Sirloin (SEL 10.87kg couple of packs 12.87)and some finest topside (big SEL sayiing 6.29 some packs 7.49)

Just been turned down on 4 bottles of WKD "as the offer's ended".

Questioned the fact that the SEL was still on display, and was told they could leave it up there forever, as it clearly states the offer end date!
