Better still, stand outside Tesco with leaflets explaining how easy R&R *can* be and give them to all the people entering the premises. Certainly would be tempted to do this at any Tesco that banned me for pointing out their misprices.I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

i know it was only a book that i bought, and was only overcharged £1, but its the principal, and the fact that a jumped up little jobsworth can pick and choose what he can R&R at any given time. he gave me a ton of hassle over the PS2/game i bought, and he still wasn't happy when HO said i could get a R&R on the game but not on the console
I've hardly had any R&R's from this store cos its my local and i hadn't wanted to draw undue attention to myself, so he can't even use that excuse!!0 -

Plus dont forget, they have video cameras all over those stores. Theres your evidence.
forgot to say that i looked thru the pile of books tho to see if any were stickered wrong!! what excuse could i use for doing that?? :rolleyes:0 -

Also, would a solicitor be interested in something like this? how on earth can an ordinary person like me go up against a massive company like tesco and prove harrassment? I'm not all that bothered if i never go in that particular branch again so i'm not bothered about the 'keeping a low profile thingy'
thing is i DO suffer from depression and anxiety and i hate confrontation...thats why i allowed him to get away with offering me the £1 difference because i could feel myself starting to get upset and i didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing me have a panic attack
but how can they give me R&R on one product but not another in the same transaction? i just don't understand that one!!
Whilst I do support you and agree totally that tesco shouldn't be allowed to treat people in the manner they have been reported to on here and are able to interpret their policies on a per customer basis I notice that you say you suffer from depression and anxiety and hate confrontation, going down a legal route or taking big stances on this would obviously force you to have to deal with confrontation and could cause extra stress. I suffer from depression myself and know how hard it is to get back on track after bad days. I would be concerned that you may put your principles before your health, which obviously can't have a price tag. If you do go down this route and feel strong enough to take whatever a legal challenge may throw at you then I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you get what you appear to be clearly entitled to in accordance with the published policies.
Well done for going in and doing the R&R. I've been lurking on here for ages and only just built up the courage to try it on a couple of meat pieces the other day. I was so nervous I was shaking.0 -
you dont need any excuse, you arent commiting an offence, your just taking advantage of their policy albeit cheekily.
Im a little different to you because I didnt go in looking for r&r's im just a 'victim'.
Plus, as far as anyone can tell, your browsing books to find one you like. except youve just announced on here you were looking for wrong price stickers, and i have no doubt Tescos r&r people read this thread every 30 seconds. :P0 -

wrong? did you say wrong? surely you mean cheaper. You were looking to see if any of them were labeled cheaper as you are not an idiot and are not going to pay a higher price when all it needs is to have a quick flick through the shelf to see if any of them are reduced. Luckily this time you found one. You use exactly the same technique when buying bread and milk and always search for the best dates.0 -
