mcdonag wrote:That, my friend, is harrassment. I would have demanded someone in authority to speak to me. Then complain that you felt that you were accused of label tampering, which is a criminal offence, ask for their evidence.
It is a definate r&r, if someone else tampered with the sticker then you would see that the sticker had been removed and replaced, creases etc.
Suggest that maybe a member of staff made a mistake and put it on the wrong book.
I too have had the old 'the label has been tampered with' routine, but it always ended with 'im not saying it was you' despite it being very clear they DID think it was me0 -

Thanks- before I take it back - I was told I was speaking to the head guy of non food overpicing - called Kevin Keller. He refused to let me speak to someone else - is it worth trying to call again?
Anyboyd know of someone else I would be better off speaking to? Or do I not have a case.
As a recap - they put the wrong Game of The Week - int he game of the week shelf, but had correct poster. Any chance? Or quit while I am ahead0 -

It doesnt....but try telling the 2 managers who barred me from their stores that, and then told me I was fraudulently obtaining goods........although I got full RnR in both.....0 -
I did some travels around South Yorkshire today and popped into a few stores on my trip. I got banned from the store I got a few PSP games from the other week. I was trying to get an xbox etc. even wanted an extra game..... They just told me it was out of stock. I said no problem and walked out. On the way out, a manager came up to me and banned me without me even trying to make an R&R! Oh well! They did have several mistakes in store, but decided to go for the big one. If anyone wants an Epson Photo printer, I saw a couple of stores with the wrong SELs. PM me if you need to know which stores. I didn't bother claiming any myself as I don't need one. I even saw in one store that their game of the week poster was from before the whole Xbox saga started! I still haven't got one though.0

This is very worrying for me as my case is identical, but it is being dealt with by Mr Stewart of customer services, hopefully he will be more reasonable :undecided0
