RoyT wrote:Thanks for the tip mcdonag - any thoughts on the "old poster" angle they're going on so far?
It's my feeling that as the policy doesn't state it, then it's irrelevant (and I've seen old prices with expiry dates even getting paid out on this thread) so it seems a bit haphazard the way they apply the rule.
If it is on display then that is the one they should honour. Say it is not your job to check if the poster is in date. If it is on display then you are expecting them to sell it as GOTW.
As a customer you are not expected to do their job for them, if it is out of date then it is their cockup not yours.
If you was a hairdresser and your poster said Haircut of the week was a bob then you gave a skinhead and they protested. You say sorry that poster is out of date, skinhead is the Haircut of the week this week, you'd get yer ed kick'd in!!!

Here is where i am up to with my own Xbox360 and game of the week dispute, for the second time i was told i would be contacted by the manager this morning about this and it hasnt happened so i have sent this email to Mr Stewart
With regard to the above dispute I do indeed have a query. I was told three days ago by Ms ******* she would check the CCTV and get back to me later that day. This didnt happen and I had to return to the shop only to find she wasnt there.
I then discussed the matter briefly with your disinterested store manager Mr **** ******. He too eventually agreed to check the CCTV footage and would contact me this morning to tell me what he had found. Again I have received no phone call and I can only assume, as I suspected earlier, that he does not intend to contact me.
To be let down once by your staff is forgivable but to be told twice I would be contacted and not being is, in my eyes, an unacceptably low standard of customer service.
I would be very appreciative if you could contact Mr ****** and find out where he is up to with this dispute and when he intends to contact me. I have taken the day off work to wait for his phone call and it is now costing me time and money to wait for him.
He can contact me on my home phone number of **** *** **** or on my mobile phone number ***** *** ***
Finally, with regard to my anxiety disorder (which I explained to your staff I had but it didnt stop them surrounding me) I can provide full medical details from my GP if there is any doubt in your mind as to my honesty. I can also provide details of our family clubcard in the name of ***** ********* if there is any question as to my heavy usage of your store. Please let me know if you require the above information.
I know you have said you are looking into the matter which I appreciate. I am only contacting you now because I have not been called by Mr ****** as promised and I do not wish to be humiliated in your store again, nor do I want to have anymore fruitless time off work or spend my own money contacting him.
I have retained a copy of this email and will send a copy via recorded delivery FAO of yourself for your records.
Thank you again for your help in this matter. I apologise if I am being a nuisance but I'm sure you can see my point of view.
Yours gratefully,
Unlike a lot of you people who are setting out to deliberatly find stuff priced wrong, I went in unaware of all this stuff that goes on and genuinely just want my money back for being overpriced, I dont intend to make a career out of it.0 -
My feeling exactly, but it's nice to have the affirmation!
I've just called the 0800 number, the lady is calling the store and phoning me back... finger crossed...
Sorry - that was my reply to mcdonag.0 -

Didn't manage to get to Tesco today (yet), as I've been working in a rival supermarket.:pIn a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I tried to get a r+r on the maltesers selection box today, but the woman at cs service said that even though it listed on the offer it was selected lines as it had a white SEL not yellow. I didn't want to argue with her as I had just recieved £16 r+r for some meat.
Better luck next time.0 -
Before I go out hunting, can someone please tell me what the correct GsOTW are for each console?
Most interested in a handheld, but anything will do.
My local extra didn't have any signs/posters about this promo yesterday. Is it possible that they are joining in on this one? Going to try a bigger extra in the next town instead (unless anyone knows somewhere better locally? I'm in Poole)
TIA
Tamsyn0 -
I am agreed with tamsyn, the correct GOTW would be really helpful.
Also, mcdonag, what are the stores you hit ... cos I'm avoiding them! lol.0 -
Hi, been lurking here for a long time, decided to join to let you know that the Aero multisave deal IS now working! So no R&R this time
Have had lots of R&R's - Mr T has been very generous with his books lately (nothing that hasn't been posted before though). Been lucky before with the aeros, sirloin steak, topside beef and butter basted chicken - many thanks to everybody for highlighting them. I just wish I had a bigger freezer!
Will post again if I find any new ones!
Now looking out for some Maltesers selection boxes, but my local doesn't have the whole range out yet. Have the R&Rs for these been only in the Extras?0 -
